Outside is nice cotton however the inside is plastic. Just not sure in the long run how the plastic will hold up to washing. Also the zipper is not on the end of the pillowcase it is about 1.5 inches on one side to the end. Maybe I miss-read the description as it does say waterproof but I was not expecting plastic. They do seem to be good quality just afraid of how the plastic will hold up to washing so I’m returning them. If they had a better description as to what type material the “plastic” is might have been a keeper.

Been using this brand of bed bug protectors since few years. We had to order new ones since we moved to NY got new beds so went a head and got these. Normally we got them at bed bath and beyond before but being in NY brooklyn it's impossible to shop with kids. So amazon and remedy to my rescue. About the product we have this on a king bed from macys and it feels amazing it's spill proof too. It feels like u don't even have it on your bed. It's that good. Just remember to shop around for better price before you purchase this. Like i said u do get it with other suppliers on amazon and outside. Love this and would definitely recommend it. We got 2 of these, why? Because we put one for the box spring cause my wife demanded that I we protect the box spring as well. Now please have a measuring tape so you know what ur getting for what kinda mattress. See the product dimensions and compare them with your mattress that you are purchasing for best fit.

Seems to be well made. I like that it is a quilted fabric instead of the thin fabrics of other mattress encasement protectors. My Twin XL mattress is 9 inches with a 2 inch foam topper, which adds up to 11 inches. I purchased a Twin XL and it is too big. Since this encasement is supposed to fit up to a 14 inch mattress I didn't think it would be too much extra. However, I really think it would fit a fifteen inch mattress. Also, it is a few inches too long. Either the manufacturer doesn't want to save money by skimping on fabric, or they plan for it to shrink a lot when washed. (or their quality control is lacking.) Since this is for a spare bed I put it on and will give it a try.

These go on so easily and aren't too tight where you feel you are going to rip it. It's also not too loose where you feel it sliding under your fitted sheet. And it's completely waterproof so any kid or dog accident is covered. Only issue with it is it seems to make me sleep a bit warmer than without it.
