There are two things I absolutely love about this hose: (1) It does not kink, and (2) it is lightweight and easy to move about with. We have a large yard and much of it consists of vegetable and flower gardens that need to be watered every day. I had begun to dread the daily ritual of dragging heavy rubber hoses around, stopping every few yards to unkink them, and reporting to my husband which ones leaked and needed to be repaired. Then I ordered my first metal hose, and now I am in the process of changing out all my old heavy hoses for metal ones. I have ordered several brands and, aside from the construction of the connectors and the quality of the spray nozzles that come with them, they are all about the same: TERRIFIC! No more stopping to untangle the kinks every few yards, no more yanking yards of hose so I can water a little further. These metal hoses don't kink and follow me around the yard like eager, well-trained puppies. What distinguishes this hose from the rest is its length of 100 feet. When the delivery arrived and the box was so heavy, I feared I had made a mistake. But the hose is agile and the weight seems to disappear when I use it. Today I was almost able to water the entire back yard with this one hose (I will be adding a 25-footer to it tomorrow), something that used to take three changes of hoses and lots of untangling and pulling. This hose is well made with a flexible metal covering and what seems like heavy duty brass fittings. The 75 foot length will work well with my watering area, but it easily winds up onto a hose hanger for storage. The instructions list it as an expandable garden hose. Those instructions also have the same oddly severe restrictions in use that I’ve now seen in a couple other instruction sheets. It includes: Do use the hose in extreme weather, such as hot weather or snow. Protect your hose from harsh winter weather or hot summer weather by storing it indoors and shaded. Be sure to drain the hose completely before storage as water remaining in the hose can freeze and damage the hose. I began to collect stainless steel hoses for my yard because I thought they would be more sturdy and resilient than their nylon, rubber and polymer counterparts. I begin to wonder if that was a good assumption. However, for now, I’m giving it my best shot in the new garden season. This hose is a solid piece of workmanship, with good fixtures and good components. I’m very happy with this hose. Yet, I’ll be keeping a close eye on all my hoses here in the new, ridiculously hot summer season to see if they, indeed, are a better solution than the hoses I am more accustomed to buying. ... show more
