For starters, this works as well as any other system like this in its price point. This has a very nice selection of games on it that have been properly configured and play well. An example is the game "California Speed," which is a n64 car racing game. I have this same game on many different similar consoles, and this is the first one where it actually plays correctly right out of the box with no adjustments needed. Every game that I tried worked except for the neo geo games. It appears that the bios is missing for those particular game files. This is not a deal breaker, though, because that is a very small portion of the total games on the system. I have probably a dozen different "pandora box" games systems, and this one has actually worked the best. The menus are easy to navigate if you take your time to actually learn to operate this before using. A lot of what you need to know is displayed at the bottom of the menu screen should you forget what each button does. The controllers are definitely not what they appear to be. They aren't the best, but they do work, and they are also equal in quality to all of the other similar systems such as super console x and any other android box system. It's easy to connect to your tv, and there is really no setup. This probably isn't for everybody because some have very high expectations, but I'm sorry at this price for over 30000 games, which for me work great, it's a deal. Imagine how much it would cost to buy all of the games individually, plus the fact that most would be impossible to find anyway.

If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer). * These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: I want to play old games with my kid to show her what video games were like when I was a kid. Likes: * The console itself is decent. The UI is adequate, the processor is powerful for a hardware emulator like this and the game selection is massive. No likes: * The controllers are absolute garbage. They are designed to look and feel like a Playstation controller, but they are about as poorly made as a controller can get. The buttons and directional pads stick and make games virtually unplayable. Would I pay full price for this product: No, not with these horrible controllers. Final thoughts: If the manufacturer can find a way to include better controllers, even at a higher price point I think this would be a good buy. Spend an extra $20 on the controllers and charge an extra $25. I would buy this console if you made this one change.

I really wanted to like this retro console, I really did. I was looking forward to getting it and starting the games, but that wasn't meant to happen. The moment I opened the box, things didn't look good. The plastic box of the console did not close completely and kept clanking. Also, the controllers are a mess, just mushy buttons that will not register your push 50% of the time. I substituted with a controller of my own, same PS style controller. The manual, which I tried to read, is written on a tiny piece of paper with tiny font, to the point that some words are distorted. The English was not useful at all. Also, it is for the Arcade style Pandora's box, but I guess you can guess it should work for all of the models. I started the console, using both the provided controller and the one I brought, and navigating, let a long gaming, was a nightmare. Nothing work, and there is not consisnancy. You navigate and it jumped 3 pages, or not moving at all (using the provided controller). Also, hundreds or redundant and repeated games. All the games are PS1, PSP, or older. The majority are GB, GBA, GBC, and N64. I am not complaining about the games as it is a retro consol afterall, but my main Cons are: 1- Bad/ low quality controller. 2- No sufficicnat manaual. 3- No setting menu to change/ update/ adjust anything in the software. 4- Inconsistency, if you don't let me change or update, at least set it that it will work from the box. Most of the N64 and the PSP games have incorrect button mapping or does not work at all. This was a big dispointment and for $60, I will say stay away from it unless they fix it.

If you’re looking at this you most likely already know what the deal is. It’s a bunch of roms and emulators shoved onto micro SD card. For what it is it’s decent but when you see the repetition in the roms and hacks you really start getting that “you get what you paid for” feeling. The controllers are hollow shells and they couldn’t be bothered to include batteries so you know they are going to be good. (Hint: they aren’t) If you know what you are getting and don’t mind sifting through a bunch of trash roms this is perfect. Anyone who is looking for a plug and play solution of higher quality might want to look elsewhere
