Bought this as a Christmas gift. It is a hit. Worth the purchase. Would do business again with merchant.

  • Worth the money

Can't play super high end graphic games, but for the price it's fantastic and you can get emulators and all sorts of stuff in it

  • Best Handheld on the market IMO
Color: ROG Ally Z1-White
100%! Full marks to ASUS and RoG on this absolute masterpiece! Steam, Ubisoft, EA, Emulators, even Desktop streamer through the Oculus. This thing is a beast of a gaming PC with tweaks and custom software included all packed into the size of a Nintendo switch! The form factor takes some getting used to from a console controller, but I bought this thing to play Destiny 2 and CoD BO6 anywhere, and boy has this beauty got the gusto to pull it off in glorious graphics. Slick response times, RGB built in, upgradable main disk, micro SD slot on the top, power to spare, and a charger to match. I did the research and hyped myself up so much while it was in route, I screamed like a little girl when it came, and the only thing it has failed to do so far is disappoint me! Republic Of Gamers for life 🤘! (PS: I got all the protective gear for it for under $100 at Best Buy, super worth it) ... show more

  • Good but flawed
Color: Z2-Japan-Black
Plays games well, but the button and trigger quality is absolute garbage. Literally two weeks into owning this system, the left trigger gets stuck intermittently and the when I long press the y button, sometimes it gets caught under the plastic of the case and gets stuck. For a 2x cost increase over the standard ally x, maybe use higher quality triggers? Maybe put some bezels around the ABXY buttons so that they don’t get stuck? No complaints about the gameplay quality, but cheap components detract from the entire experience when your zoom flickers insanely or you can’t make jumps because of phantom button presses. Very frustrating. ... show more

  • It's just an okay device
Color: Z2-Japan-Black
The Asus ROG Xbox Ally X is a decent handheld with solid performance and a premium feel. However, the absence of backlit buttons hinders usability in dark settings, and the 24GB memory limit seems shortsighted, potentially leading to guaranteed obsolescence. It is good today, but not future-ready. I would recommend this device for individuals who want the first-generation 3rd-party Xbox hardware. Asus did a better job at integrating XBOX than the competition. ... show more
