I bought this because I needed a way to block the opening to a bedroom to keep a visiting grand puppy from getting into the room but still allow me easy access in and out. I will say once you get it set up it’s quite nice. However, it is not the type that is easy to remove and set out of the way. If you do remove, it’s a pain to do that and then set back up. Definitely follow the directions. It does seem to be quality made and I cannot attest to little fingers but so far it’s easy for me to open and close. It comes with 2 extensions for wider openings. Looks nice and for semi to permanent application it’s a good fit. If you need to remove often, I recommend finding the old fashion type. ... show more

The gate was easy to assemble & easy to use. It fit the doorway very well. Since we purchased the gate to keep out 2 of our male dogs while our female dog gives birth for the 1st time, the self closing function has been beyond helpful!
