  • Good quality, great batteries used in my off grid solar set up.
Style: 12V 200Ah
I have property in the mountains and needed an off grid power solution. I purchased two 12v 200ah zooms batteries to run in series to utilize for my 4000w/8000w 110volt inverter. The batteries shipped fast and I received 1 day earlier than expected. Batteries received were very close to balanced. I charged to full a couple weeks before taking them up to my cabin. The discharge rate was minimal and as expected during the wait. I now have them set up with my 1000w solar panels and charge controller. They did amazing. I had no problems running power equipment such as miter saw and compressors all while charging everyone's phones and tablets. They worked exactly as you would expect a battery to work. With my solar setup they never dipped below 80% capacity. I have been back home from my cabin for a couple weeks now and the batteries are currently sitting in my garage. They are both close to full charge and both read the exact same voltage. This means the quality in the batteries is as good as you can get. I don't have to worry about balancing the batteries because they are holding the same charge and discharge rate. If you search for these on youtube, look at the review done by Will Prowse. He tears one of these batteries apart and does an amazing review. This is what led me to buy these batteries as the price was the best for this battery class. For my current usage, these two 12v 200ah batteries did amazing. But if I need additional capacity in the future I will be buying these again. ... show more

  • Excellent customer service by email
Style: 12V 200Ah
I recently received the Redodo 12 volt 200 Amp hour Lifepo4 battery. Prior to that I exchanged many emails with Tina who provided excellent customer service and answered all of my questions. I bought the battery based on the positive reviews online, the advertised 4, 000 to 15,000 cycles of usability, the 5 year warranty and also because I felt that if there were any problems that the good customer service and communication would continue. I also bought the 40 amp Redodo charger. I've had the batteries for a week now and have recharged them twice. Everything went flawlessly and I'd say there is probably between 210 and 220 Amp hours of capacity although once you discharge them the full 200 amp hours, the battery voltage drops below 12 volts. This means however that you really do have the full 200 AH of usable power. The only remaining question is: How long will these batteries really last and how many cycles will they really be good for. If I get anywhere near 4,000 cycles I will be extremely pleased and this battery will be a fantastic deal at the price I bought it at. The charger also works great. It charges at a steady 40 amps except for the last 20 minutes or so. So to charge the full 200 amp hours takes little more than 5 hours. Very nice! ... show more

  • Great Battery! Outstanding Customer Support!
Style: 12V 200Ah
Redodo Battery review Let me start by saying that this is my first venture into the world of solar panels and batteries. I live in a rural area, and I wanted an off grid backup solar system. Now I have two! After much research, I decided to buy and invest in a couple of Redodo LIFEPO4 batteries. The batteries arrived in excellent packaging and had a nice white plastic color and a clear instruction packet. As I didn't know too much about solar, I wrote to Redodo customer service and asked for some advice. I was was blown away by their amazing fast response. Every email question I had, was instantly responded in detail by the next morning. Their customer service is better than most any American based company I've dealt with. One very nice feature about their support, is that a support agent seamed to be assigned to my account, so that as the correspondence continued, a person named Susan was aware of what I had asked and what was discussed, and I didn't have to start from scratch with a new customer service agent with each email. A common sense little thing, which made communications and learning a pleasure. Very quickly, Miss Susan" and Redodo became a source of help and knowledge for me, as I moved along in to this new solar venture. From recommending the type of battery charger, to calculating how much electric storage, I wrote to Redodo to help me answer the many questions I had. They have without a doubt, the best customer service I have come across in years! They have been the most friendly, helpful, patient and attentive to my learning curve. No wasted time with annoying Robo-AI phone calls. When ever I had a question, I sent off an email, and the response would come from a human, by the next morning. *AFTER SALES SERVICE.. What happens when there is a problem?* I actually had one problem where a battery went bad and no longer worked. I was concerned as LifePO4 batteries are not cheap and are designed to last for thousands of cycles, which is several years! I wrote to customer support and explained the problem and braced myself for how they would handle it. After trying a couple of tests, they confirmed to me that there was indeed a problem with it, and emailed me a return shipping label immediately to ship the defective battery back to their California warehouse. Within a couple of days they sent me a new replacement battery! A huge relief to know that this company stands by their customers and product! Several months later, I now have purchased a total of ten 200 AH Redodo batteries (formerly named Zooms) and everything I need to run my back up off-grid systems. I am running a 48 Volt solar system with 8 Redodo 200 AH batteries with a 6KW inverter and MPPT controller wired in to a generator switch panel, which is connected to my main electric home panel. This feeds 240 Volts and 120 Volt appliances and rooms. This way I can select which rooms or appliances I want on solar/battery, and can switch back with the flip of a switch to grid. I also put together a second smaller 24 Volt solar system , with 2KW inverter and MPPT and two Redodo 200 AH batteries. In conclusion, I quickly realized that when buying LIFPO4 batteries, the price of the battery is one consideration, but also the company you are buying them from is super important and how accessible they are to their customers. Because if/when you do need help or have a question, you will be needing company support. I hope my personal experience regarding Redodo batteries, helps answer some questions one may have, regarding buying a battery from Redodo. ... show more

  • Very satisfied so far! I bought 2 x200 ah batteries, Love them!
Style: 12V 200Ah
I use 2 x200 ah in series for a 24 v bank charged by 4 x 100 watt panels in 24 v series via mppt charge controller. I use them to power a 2,000 watt (4,000 surge watts) pure sine wave inverter to pump 5-10 gallon per minute well pump that is approximately 150 feet deep. Works amazing so m far and I think I can easily add a full size fridge to it. I have no issues with lead acid batteries and modified sine wave inverter for my lighting and basic electronics which rarely need pure ac or heavy draws. I even use a 12 system with a pwm charge controller. Never had an issue and I like having two separate system so I can always guarantee I'll have power. That being said if you want the best longest lastingb single system, get lithium batteries, do a 24,36 or 48 v system with a pure sign wave inverter and mppt charge controller and you'll be very happy. Lived fine on lead acid for years as well but you must be a true minimalist to do 12v. Anyway love these, would buy again for sure and if I had the money I would have gotten 4 of them instead of 2! ... show more

  • Awesome Batteries
Style: 12V 200Ah
I bought two 200ah (2560 watts) batteries thinking that in parallel I would have 400ah (5120 watts) usable, wrong, each battery has only 100ah, 1280 watts useable so I only have 400ah of batteries but can only use 2560 watts max out of them (200 amps). After paying these off I'll have to get 1 or 2 more to achieve the 3600 watts necessary for the 3500 watt pure sine wave inverter in the RV system. The inverter pulls 300 amps at full load. I am not totally unhappy, just a little disappointed, I should have researched better. On the plus side these batteries each weigh less than a single 100ah SLA battery (I replaced four of them a weight savings of 200 pounds plus) Read the book before using them for maximum life. Four stars (changed to five stars) because the description should have stated that only 1280 watts continuous can be used at max same as a 100ah battery, other manufactures state 2556 watts usable, abet they are $10 - $20 more in cost. I will have to buy 2 more again (no choice) but I will have 400ah usable but lasting as long as a 800ah system. I am using two 250 watt PV panels (500 watts total) and a EPever MPPT 40 amp solar controller, so the system will support the four batteries. Update: These batteries are awesome, so much so I bought 2 more. The reason is stated above, I need 400ah of useable battery in my RV. Took the RV camping/hunting and on the third day I ran low on power because 200ah was not enough with the power I was drawing on the trip (still learning about solar, 500 watts of panels does not always produce 500 watts of power) because I did not have 3 days of power in case of some cloudy days. If anything changes, I will update because $2600+ is a lot of money for batteries for me. P.S. four of the 200ah batteries weigh 224 pounds or 400 pounds lighter than four 200ah lead acid batteries. I now see that Zooms has a 12v200ah 200amp BMS at $60 more, might have to try them on another project in the future provided the ones I purchased hold up their awesomeness. ... show more

  • No warranty stated so they get to make up the rules as they go along
Style: 12V 200Ah
Bought 2 of these almost 2 years ago for an offgrid system, notice things were getting a little wacky. Tested both batteries; as expected, after two years of service, one has lost 10 AH after being tested twice, the other lost 16 on the first test and 17 Ah on the second test. These batteries need to perform close to exactly the same for me to use them for my 24 volt application. Between the two tests, I parallel balanced them together to see if that would help somehow, which I assumed it would not. Emailed Redodo customer service for “one hour to 24 hour response. It took 4 days for them to respond. Their response was maybe the better battery was better from the beginning and your worst battery is normal. With that approach they can do whatever they want. Perhaps a published warranty that states if you lose X percent then we replace the battery. I suspect I have a bad cell in the subject battery. Good luck dealing with them. ... show more

  • Wonderful battery!
Style: 12V 200Ah
I use this battery to power a inverter which runs a refrigerator, standard household size and older so it's not that efficient, however the inverter is efficient. When combined with this battery it will run a refrigerator for over an entire day which far exceeds my expectations very happy with my purchase I'll be getting another one as soon as I can afford it. It would be nice if it came with a 200a BMS. And as the prices on others are dropping to the below 700 I should hope that they will update this soon ... show more
