I got this to keep in my backpack as a “just in case”. Type of thing. It finally happened. The sun was out when I went into work, and a heavy downpour when I left. I pulled this out, donned it, a started to walk to the parking deck. It takes about 5 minutes to get to my vehicle, I was dry as I was inside, the backpack was too. Like the title says, this is essentially a tarp with a hood. It can be worn or spread out on the ground to sit on. I chose the former option and I was very happy! I wore it to a concert where I had to stand in the rain for 5 hours (anything for you, Jungkook) and it kept me completely dry. My only note is that if you have very long arms, you may not be completely covered. For those having issues folding it back up: just follow the creases in the material, and roll it up. I have another Redcamp poncho tarp in green that I picked up for $15. It is a bit larger than the usual poncho tarp, but also thicker and more durable material. It is ripstop. So for a few cents more, I picked up this leaf pattern poncho tarp with the sleeves. It is also a good deal. However, be aware the fabric is only taffeta and is not ripstop. It will go in my large collection of poncho tarps, but will likely not see as much use as the others, including the green, ripstop Recamp I already own. ... show more

Obviously it’s not gonna be quiet but it did it’s job and kept the rain off while I was out hunting. I believe I paid $15 or so for it and I’m very pleased with the poncho. I’m 250lbs and 6 foot and had extra layers on and I had enough room. I recommend this to any Hunter who’s dedicated and wants to sit in the rain you won’t be disappointed ... show more
