Works really well. I was dealing with broody hens, filthy eggs, pecked, eaten, cracked eggs. It was really frustrating. I thought about converting my wooden next boxes to be a roll-out style--but I just did not have the time to do it. I followed the instructions. They are mostly easy to follow. I opted for the rear-roll out construction. Everything went as planned--except: the instructions showed the rear panel as swinging inward when assembled. I had the same problem as Nicole, who gave this a one-star rating. But I figured it out. The rear panel DOES NOT swing, but is between the cross member and the edge of the sides. I had to unbolt the cross member, then re-bolt it with the rear panel in back of it. Where the pins hold that rear panel, the bolts that secure the top to the sides are very hard to access. Needle nose pliers might help, but having two people (one with small fingers) will be a great help. I cut a hole in my coop and used the provided hangers to secure the rear of the sides to the outside of the coop. It's secure with only those two hangers. The perch on the inside is about 48" off the floor. I set a wooden box in the middle of the coop so the hens have an intermediate point to access the nesting box. The same day I installed it, most of the hens started using it. Now, all 26 hens use it, and I collect 12 to 17 eggs--clean eggs--every day. I don't have to hunt for them, don't have to peel broody hens off from them--and yes, if they peck and eat an egg while they're sitting on them, the remaining eggs get glued to her belly. But now, 98% perfectly clean eggs. No hunting for them. Almost No washing. The hens don't sleep in the nest box, so they don't poop there. Almost zero mess from that. Nothing to clean in the first 12 days. In spite of those two small glitches, this product is overwhelmingly positive.

I couldn’t be happier with this rolling nesting box! The design is fantastic. As soon as my hens lay an egg, it gently rolls into the protected compartment, so the eggs stay clean and safe. The biggest benefits I’ve noticed are: * Squirrels and other animals can’t steal my eggs anymore. * My chickens can’t peck or eat the eggs. * The eggs stay much cleaner since they aren’t left in the nesting area. * I don’t have to collect eggs every day—I can leave them for 2–3 days without worrying, and they’re still clean and protected when I come back. Installation was simple, the quality is excellent, and it has made collecting eggs so much easier. If you raise backyard chickens, I highly recommend this product. It has saved me time, reduced broken eggs, and given me peace of mind. A great investment for any chicken owner!

Like others have said, the instructions could use some work. I've seen worse. You have to use your noodle to make sense of the words vs the pictures. Overall, wasn't a bad build and everything went together as expected. My only real complaint is that it says its for large birds. I have Marans and Astralorps and they're not even big for their breed and they can't get into the door. I pulled the roof off, added a janky roof about 10 inches taller made out of coroplast and taped it up and the birds are using it just fine. I taped some red material across the front. I had to add their normal coconut nesting material to get them to use it. I suspect once they get used to it, i can pull the nest material out. I have a flock of 10 and one separated egg eater that's in the henitentiary until the other birds have been trained on the roll out.

This is a very similar product to the HenGear nest box at a nicer price! We’ve had it installed on our hoop coop for about six months now and the hens all use it well. I was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. It’s stopped one of our girls from pecking and trying to eat the eggs and it’s prevented another from becoming broody. We love the rollaway feature and it is made to last. We have thirteen hens and it is large enough for them all to use it comfortably. Would buy this again!

Missing two pieces, 15&17. Box seems opened before. Directions say to contact seller for missing parts, but NO contact information. I've looked everywhere for contact info... and the contact seller button just goes to regular Amazon customer service, which is an AI nightmare that goes in a circle. I don't want to have to package up and go return such a large bulky object! Where is actual customer service here please?? FWIW, the directions seem pretty clear for doing a front collection assembly, I'm just missing one side to support the roost bar.

one star for quality, one star for directions. The seller worked with me to get their product up and running and I am happy to report I changed their rating to fully satisfactory. I had to train the chickens to use it, well because they are chickens and I have little patience. It is well manufactured and once they started using it, works incredibly well. It's built like a tank and should last many years.

I own a hengear brand box like this. This one is a nearly exact clone for a good discount. The quality is just as good. I would recommend this one over the hengear one as it is a much better value. If you are unfamiliar with this style of box, they are the best. The eggs roll down to an area where the hens can't get them. By not having the eggs accessible it discourages broody behavior. The floor material is very easy to clean. Assembly is not too hard. It took me maybe 20 mins. Install is easy peasy. For capacity, I have a hengear one that is 48 inches, and it has served 25-30 chickens, no problem. I would expect this will serve about15 birds.

Where to start? Part 4 was stamped backwards the two hole for mounting the red curtain would have to be on the back as installed. Step 8 cannot be performed realistically with part 6 in place. I ended up deciding part 6 wasn't needed and removed it. Only then was I able to install part 14. After that I could use my own sheet metal screws to mount part 13. Step 4, if performed should be performed after Step 8. I don't see any reason for a rear door at all. The bolts that were supposed to be 10mm were 14mm with16mm nuts. Just a typo? Other than than, and lacerations on both arms, things were perfect.
