I've used these in the past for ear cropping and they are wonderful but with the boy I have now, it's a situation where his neck is bigger than his head and his brain is smarter than a puppies. It took 3 minutes for him to figure out how to kick it off and that's with the collar weaved through it. The donut just provided leverage to pull the collar off too. The product is great but the Doberman was just too smart for it.

We drove home from the vet with a surprisingly normal appearing dog. He had just been 'fixed' and was wearing the default plastic cone. He whined for his first time during the ride home that day. I bought this donut in advance so we were able to change shortly after arriving home. It was something he actually adjusted to very quickly. He could move around and still sniff the floor without tripping on the plastic cone. I even think he started to enjoy his built-in pillow after a few hours. He could stop anywhere and lie down with a pillow to hold his head up. I have recommended this type of donut pet collar to everyone I can. I like zipper that lets you remove the inflatable bladder so the fabric donut can be washed. Be sure to thread your pet's existing collar through the neck portion per the instructions. That's what allows the device to fit around their neck properly. We hope you and your pet will enjoy this as much as our puppy did.
