The Recovery Aftercare Derm Shield Tattoo Aftercare Bandage Roll will help shield your new ink from dirt and abrasion that can potentially harm your new artwork. These premium bandages will allow your new tattoo to breathe and help it naturally heal. They are transparent and come with a convenient self- adhesive backing that easily adheres to your skin. The bandages are super easy to remove and will not harm your new tattoo in any way. It can be cut and trimmed to fit any size tattoo. These are no ordinary tattoo healing bandages. They are composed of three layers: EVA film, matte PU film, and glassine. The matte PU film, which is the part of the bandage that remains on and protects the skin after tattooing, allows for optimal breathability and ductility when compared to glossy film bandages. I did a test with and without this on the same tattoo. The healing time is doubled with it on for less than a day, even though I'm allergic to adhesive.

I get tattooed a lot. I have two full sleeves and shoulder to shoulder chest piece amongst various other pieces. I was a big fan of the major derm brand, so much so that I signed up to be a brand ambassador for them and often bought rolls of my own to have on hand for derm changes. Recently my artist switched brands to Recovery Derm and I’m a full convert. Where the other brand is rigid and often gives me friction blisters at the edges (something I accepted as worth the convenience of the derm itself) Recovery is so. flexible. It’s so much more comfortable. The only downside is that it’s so stretchy that it’s a bit harder to take off. I also ended up with a lot of adhesive left on my skin, something I think happened because it was comfortable that I left it on for the full 6 days. Washing with coconut oil helped take care of that. ... show more

This stuff is the best for tattoo healing, if you prefer wet healing. It's thin, not too shiny and protective. You can hardly tell it's on. I bought this roll because I have a sleeve in progress then I'll be getting a large thigh piece and a small back coverup so I'm needing a lot. I like to change the initial layer out to a new layer after it's done weeping and keep that on for 5-7 days. That has worked for me for years. Love it. Fantastic product. I've purchased several "off" brands, and I seem to break out in a rash once removed. This is the brand my most dopest Tattoo artist uses. So I had to replicate. I'm allergic to Saniderm....it leaves it's mark on me for months afterwards. Derm Shield is totally different....it feels real!!
