Excellent, great quality, sound and value. The magnet is girthy, and is very stable & crisp. I had to replace the amp in 2001 Expedition EB Mach Audio; and that sub needed to be replaced again.. the factory am. Can't handle 1ohm, and I was shocked nat that difference. However, at 2ohm it's the right factory replacement. I'm so happy to have my bass back after 12 years of none. No distortion, ver crisp and clean bass. Keep in mind this may fit in other enclosures, but I will say this is not a flush mouth, at least for my application. I was able to seal and secure the sub. A++ forth piece and the 2ohms, with post that seem more expensive than this budget sub would suggest. ... show more

    • Perfect replacement for 2007 Hyundai Entourage factory subwoofer
I purchased this subwoofer to replace the factory subwoofer in my 18-yr-old Hyundai Entourage. The foam-surround on the original factory subwoofer had failed with age and was causing the speaker to buzz, annoying me and everyone who was present in the car. The Recoil RW8D2 is a perfect fit to replace the 8" Hyundai factory subwoofer. The price is right, the quality and weight make this feel like a much more expensive speaker. I had to bend the wire connectors slightly to position the subwoofer in the factory hole, but otherwise everything is a perfect fit. Everything sounds great. Bass is punchy and crisp once again.     • Great factory replacement
The factory sub in my 04 4runner finally gave up and tore. I bought this as a budget friendly replacement. It's hard to find 2ohm subs that match the factory specs. This one is almost perfect. I say almost, because you do have to do some trimming in the factory sub box for it to fit. Once I got it installed I was super impressed with the sound quality. It provides a nice rich bass to round out the sound in the car. This isn't going to thump and rattle the trunk on your civic if that's what you are looking for. Absolutely phenomenal speakers. Even if they cost 2x what they do, I'd still say the same. I did a install and review on YT. Just go to youtube and search for: DIY Install - (2) 8" DVC Sub's in a Harley CVO.

I got this to replace a factory subwoofer in my car that was being powered by a factory amp. The factory amp doesn't push a lot of watts. This little guy works very well for a low wattage sub. It performs very well to give a balanced sound in my car

Size incorrect for a direct replacement fit for 2010 honda accord with premium sound and subwoofer. The 2 connections did not allow for the speaker to sit in the hole.
