My first hearing aids so I was skeptical. Put them on and WOW! I heard things I didn't know was there. Will still take time to get used to them as they are a little large for my ears. I love these hearing aids! I am hearing so many things I haven't heard in years. It takes a bit of getting used to because I am identifying so many things I have been missing. I love the charging case to. These are a game changer. I can keep the TV at a quiet setting now so I don't disturb the family.     • Everything I'd hoped for in a hearing amplifier.
Just as good as the battery powered set I got through the VA. Earpieces are smaller than I expected but fit snugly in my ear(s). Keep in mind they amplify ALL sounds as there is no frequency "clipping." The sound quality is superb. It takes a bid of "fiddling" to get the volume to a comfortable level. Instructions are very detailed and well written. The magnetic case will recharge the earpieces several times and there are LED lights to tell you the charging status of the earpieces and the case. The case magnets snap the earpieces into their proper place for charging. Features include a delay in activation when inserting in the ear canal to avoid feedback squeal. These hearing aids are easy to use and you get extra convenience and peace of mind knowing you can recharge them in the case on the go. The case is a smooth streamlined style. The aids are a good size not too big not too small. I've used aids that are too small and they have a tendency to squeal more. The ones that are too big fall out easier. These are just right. The most important part of course is the hearing. These give you a nice realistic sound with no strange tones. The dial is so easy to turn. Its so much better than the ones with tiny dial you cant use and the ones with a button that is too easy to press by accident. I love these ..they are my favorite ones of all time. ... show more

I have some hearing loss in my left ear from back when I was in the US Navy. I work for a 911 center and I have not had trouble hearing until I got this job. SO I did not know how bad my left ear was until I had to start working on split ear. That is when you have to listen two or three things at once. I am trying theses out instead of getting a hearing aid for now anyway. I like these things! I can hear my fingers going across a page and I could not before. I want to where these hunting and see if the sounds of the animals is picked up. Might be a problem, I will have to pull them out before I pull the trigger though. But so far so good. ... show more

I tried two other types that didn't work, one of which I returned, the other I was just out $. These work well, and because they don't turn on until 3 minutes after you put them in your ears, you don't get the high pitched feedback (screeching) sound.     • Understand your own hearing needs and expectations
I bought this hearing aid to test my ability to wear the device and to test whether a boost in volume would help me. I have difficulty hearing people speaking when there is significant ambient noise or if the person does not enunciate words very clearly. Documentation: The documentation is detailed, accurate and helpful for a person new to hearing aids. I did not know they would come in a charging case and that the case uses a USB cord for charging. There is no transformer included in the initial purchase, so the buyer must either use a computer USB port or have an existing 5V transformer. Size and fit: There are 3 different sizes of domes or “cuffs” for the device included in the initial purchase. These are the soft silicone cushions that allow the device to sit in your ear comfortably and securely. I was glad to “try on” the different sizes for both comfort and fit. However, I have yet to achieve a secure fit. The devices fall out of my ear if I am walking, and I must repeatedly push them in to secure them well into my ear—they feel well seated in my canal, but they do fall out if I don’t push them every few minutes. This fact tells me that I would be better off with the customization of the very expensive hearing aids. Sound quality: The sound quality is good, but it is difficult to dial the volume up and down because the dial is a very small. There are ridges on the volume dial, but they are subtle and not easy to feel or “grab” in order to turn the dial. My fingers are not large, but they are also not tiny. Activation beeps: These are very helpful for determining the charging status of the hearing aids. Squeal/Feedback: The squealing is not usually a problem in a public place such as a restaurant. However, the squealing is unmanageable in my workplace. I sit in front of a computer and when not sitting at my desk I am walking through a room full of computers and that is likely the problem. Overall: I am happy with the Jinghao Hearing Amplifier Model JH-A610 because it was relatively inexpensive compared to custom hearing aids and answered my questions about whether I could wear them comfortable and whether the amplification would be adequate to my hearing problems. The main thing I’ve learned is that I need to find a way to buy custom hearing aids in order to get a secure fit and hopefully an easier-to-use volume dial. Until then, I will use my JH-A610 hearing aids when and where I can. ... show more
