This fireplace is awesome! When we bought our house, it had a big old ugly pellet stove in it, which we had no idea how to operate. We pulled that out, then found out our fireplace would need massive repairs to work as a wood-burner, so we bought this electric fireplace instead. Assembly was very easy and straight-forward with no hitches. The flames look great, and the heat is perfect. The media could not be loaded. Fairly easy to put together. That top front part with the hole in the middle in another review was a little tricky, but we figured it out. Instructions are all pretty much pictures. A few words here and there would have helped a lot! That being said, we got it together without much trouble. Don't screw in the screws tight until you get it all in place. Before placing the firebox in the mantle, get some black felt or something similar to put between where the firebox attaches to the wood mantle. When we first put it all together it made a noisy hum. I had tried the firebox out before attaching it to the mantle and it didn't make this noise. We figured it must be some sort of vibration against the wood. We were right. As soon as we added the felt and loosened a screw here and there we got it to be way more quiet. The motor was vibrating against the metal case of the firebox on the lower left side. We opened the back of the firebox up and put some felt between the motorcase and the metal casing of the firebox as well. Hope this helps someone! The vibrating hum sound was driving me crazy. If we were not able to fix it I was going to send it back. As others have noted, this is definitely more of a cherry wood. It is not an espresso coffee brown color at all. Overall, we are happy with this purchase. The flame effect is beautiful. I got a small white noise machine that has a fire crackle sound option here on Amazon for $20 to add to the illusion of a real fire. You might be able to hear it in the video I posted with this review. I would have given this fireplace five stars if it had not been for having to adjust the unit because of the humming sound and because the picture posted with this item does not match the color it really is. ... show more

This unit is perfect! The color is as pictured under the light, but when put up against the wall, it looks more like cherry wood, which I prefer. No complaints.

Extremely disappointed with this company! I gave them 5 stars for assemble because it truly was so simple to put together. However, once assembled, as you can see in the photos, there's a hole in the front of the mantle! It's not supposed to be there; there's nothing on the reverse that even connects to this front piece. So I contacted the manufacturer with the photos and asked for ONE replacement piece. Their response: "There should be a hole in the top of the part in the center. This is hidden when the customer puts on part 7, the mantel." NOT TRUE! Once assembled, it looks exactly like every other one I viewed from fellow customers, except mine has a hole and no one else's does. They refuse to send me a replacement part. Extremely disappointed with this company. Two words for their "customer service:" They suck. ... show more

This has been my best purchase ever online! The wood material/quality of this electric fireplace is great. The expresso color matches my cherry furniture perfectly. It was relatively easy to assemble. Just follow the directions perfectly. I ordered it one day and it arrived the NEXT day - I was so surprised. It came in two boxes with two different tracking numbers. I was only told about one tracking number initially. The product is awesome. This was a second electric fireplace for us. It is superior! Great heat output! Beautiful, colorful flames! I am so happy!
