I was concerned that this unit would be minimally designed and vulnerable to bumps. It appears to be sturdy and waterproof. The adjustment is under a sealed screw lid and it comes with four batteries. Of course buying on prime is an added bonus as any defect would be quickly and easily resolved. Got mine and it did not it did not come with batteries. And you also need the 2 calibration solution solutions that are extremely overpriced. Like ph calibration solutions. Ec solutions seem more sparse as well, which adds to the fun Gave it four stars because it seems it does what itโ€™s supposed to do, seems built to last a while, not really great build quality but pretty good. Still trying to find solution to see how long it will stay calibrated and if it was good out of the box possibly but according to my 2 cheaper ec meters itโ€™s pretty close if not the one that is accurate, out of the box. ... show more
