Talk about a good deal. I tried the TDS and EC meter and they appear to be working well. I did not have a stable solution that I could test or calibrate it with, but they seemed to perform well. The green soil tester was a bit unreliable thought. I was hoping to be able to monitor the soil in my garden, but the meter never seemed to move at all on the PH scale. I tried waterlogging the soil and only then did I get any movement but not much. I know my soil is on the acidic side because I did some soil tests through the local extension and they did not match with this meter. Either this meter isn't reliable or the extension is doing something wrong. I'll leave it to you to decide. Maybe it's just user error, but unfortunately that included instructions wouldn't be able to help me there as they are very vague and sparse. ... show more

Had the same issue alot of others had. Its slighty off even when its factory calibrated out the box they did it lol.. which is why i gave it a 4. But where talkin .01 so no big deal. All in all for the price .. and the money i had at the time.. i got em they work i still use em today..wish they were waterproof but thats why they make those too. Which im gonna get from vivosun. Cuz they are good pens. Just need to get that accuracy better and theh be solid a.f ... show more

    • pH meter not worth it.

Bought primarily for pH meter. chose this option, since it included hygrometer and tds meter. Not first meter owned, but had misplaced my regular meter. Out of box, issues with powering on device, had to remove and insert battery cap a couple times to work. Performed two point calibration, tested and noticed varying results as described in manual of .01 tolerance accuracy with same solution pH readings. Had litmus paper as general comparison guideline for testing to attain general readings. Unfortunately next day, same issues experienced with initial setup, but this time calibration will not set due to error code. Poor quality pH meter build. Not designed for long term or repeated use. Hygrometer comes with pH meter as well, for its generalized purpose moisture, light and pH measurement. Cheap quality as well, but better design and will outlast use of pH meter. Not able to test results for TDS meter, since I don't have my other meter to compare, but I know my water ppm values are high from tap. TDS read a bit lower from what I had expected. Returning items for refund. Only one worth keeping that may show its worth in value is the hygrometer, but would suspect it would fail after a couple months, perhaps longer if used only for indoor. ... show more

    • A viable alternative to higher end testers

I have owned this Ph and TDS kit for about three weeks now, and so far it seems to be holding calibration well. I compared this PH meter to my friend's high-end PH meter and was pleased to see they only differed in readings by a very small amount. I do recommend storing the PH probe in H2O Sync pH/ORP Electrode Storage Solution or another similar product. to maintain the accuracy and longevity of the probe. And would also recommend periodically calibrating the probe using BOJACK 15 Pack of pH Meter Buffer Solution Powder for Precise and Easy PH Calibration. All of which can be purchased on Amazon for a small price. If you are checking the PH and TDS levels of water for watering plants, then this is an inexpensive and pretty accurate way of doing so without breaking the bank. ... show more

This is a really great product, all the meters work very accurately. I'm reading the instructions is very important to fully understanding the devices. Easy to read easy to operate, again very accurate. I am very very pleased with these products, they have made my growing experience far better than I actually imagined they would. There's really not much else to say. I do recommend ordering directly from vivosun so you don't have to wait 3 weeks to a month for them to be delivered. ... show more
