Firstly, I'd like to say that these are the best "bang for your buck" meters you could probably buy. The accuracy is within their specific range (within .1), but, you'll read a lot of reviews saying otherwise - I've found out you need to use TRUE DEIONIZED WATER to test pH buffers, and let fully dissolve. Where people go wrong is using DISTILLED WATER.. distilled water still has leftovers ions and particles, DEIONIZED does not. As for the SOIL METER... totally bunk. I could put this probe in totally saturated soil and it'll still read dry, and, reads about a total 1 or 2 levels of pH out of range.. Which is HUGE! But, I'm not considering this a huge deal. The probe is basically a free "throw in" at this price. If you need to pH your water and test EC/TDM, without being a total chemist, just buy it. ... show more

Talk about a good deal. I tried the TDS and EC meter and they appear to be working well. I did not have a stable solution that I could test or calibrate it with, but they seemed to perform well. The green soil tester was a bit unreliable thought. I was hoping to be able to monitor the soil in my garden, but the meter never seemed to move at all on the PH scale. I tried waterlogging the soil and only then did I get any movement but not much. I know my soil is on the acidic side because I did some soil tests through the local extension and they did not match with this meter. Either this meter isn't reliable or the extension is doing something wrong. I'll leave it to you to decide. Maybe it's just user error, but unfortunately that included instructions wouldn't be able to help me there as they are very vague and sparse. ... show more

Had the same issue alot of others had. Its slighty off even when its factory calibrated out the box they did it lol.. which is why i gave it a 4. But where talkin .01 so no big deal. All in all for the price .. and the money i had at the time.. i got em they work i still use em today..wish they were waterproof but thats why they make those too. Which im gonna get from vivosun. Cuz they are good pens. Just need to get that accuracy better and theh be solid a.f ... show more

This is my second analog multi meter. The a tip broke off in dry Loomy garden soil . Instruction obscurely indicates that this product is not intended for garden soil. I did not use the digital meters before returning the entire purchase .
