Incredibly handy, I love being able to tell where my in ground garden is at without having to go outside, especially getting into July where my tomatoes and cucumbers are drawing up absurd amounts of water in the heat, and I don’t want to have to go out into the heat if I don’t have to. This module is very reliable, and as long as you actually installed the rubber caps on the probe you will have zero issues with moisture getting into it. If you are on the fence, just get it. You can’t imagine how useful this little thing is.

Fast read out, easy to use. Extremely precise. Helps determine watering needs for indoor & outdoor plants, shrubs, trees, and lawns. Helps maximize water conservation. “gun” form factor makes it easier to place than other types of monitors. Probe is delicate so I recommend you make a channel first with a screwdriver-like weeder or similar tool before sticking in the probe. Otherwise, you could easily break the probe. Because the reader is separate from the probe, you don’t have to bend down or squat, read a tiny display, or contort your head sideways like most other soil meters. No need for an app, bluetooth, or wifi either, as the system is stand alone & self-contained.

My particular soil , it wasn't very accurate, but I set to custom, water till run off barely and set to 100%, however, once that was set, it showed it was still wet when it was dry, so I played with it a few times. I think I got it dialed in pretty darn good. 6 pots, not very intrusive so 6 meters for the cost is worth it. Some plants drink more. I can now look at the app instead of picking each one up. I got the wifi link as well. Pretty neat.

This is a good moisture meter. We have found it to be accurate. I deducted one star because if you don't use it for a day, you have to reinstall the batteries. First the display then the probe. This is not covered in the instructions which are totally confusing. My wife and I are intelligent people, but the manual is totally confusing. So I will recommend the product, just be aware of the battery situation.

This is my go to for watering plants. I checked it everyday with a manual stick in the dirt everyday for the first couple of days to see the difference in readings and I am very satisfied at the reading I get on this stay in the ground- read it indoors. Wish I bought one earlier. This is so easy to tell when it needs water, without going outside .

This display only connects to ONE sensor. No where in the description does it state this, and there is no channel setting to flip between sensors. Very disappointed. Was hoping for ONE thing that I didn’t have to use my smart phone on, and we can’t even support multiple sensors to the display? The instructions need to be revamped. I understand what they’re trying to do and calibrating a sensor is a hard task, but the instructions are written towards people with a science background. I could understand but I can tell many people do not.

This is a really nice Soil Moisture Sensor and works perfectly for me. I have two of them and use them with my Ecowitt WS90 Weather Station. Very well made and seem to be accurate. I have the setup with my Ecowitt weather station to notify me (by text & email) when the moisture gets too low, so I remember to water the plants. They also work great outside with my tomato plants and herbs.

I love this soil moisture meter. I don't really have a way to test how accurate it is, but I can tell you it reads 0% moisture in dry air and 100% moisture when dipped in water, so it's at least got the two boundaries right. It seems to match my handheld moisture meter I use for plants outdoors. You know, the kind with two prongs that you stab into the soil and the little needle on the dial tells you moisture content. Well, I have to say I trust this moisture meter a bit more as it seems to read more consistently. The probe itself is a little bigger than I anticipated, but that's not a big deal. I have the display sitting about 14 feet from the probe and it has no problem getting a signal. Overall I'm really happy with this purchase.
