I had owned this scooter for a little while now. Overall I have had a good experience. This electric scooter offers a convenient and eco-friendly mode of transportation, with a unique feature that allows you to bring your small dog along for the ride. However, there were a couple of areas where I felt it could be improved. Let's start with the positives. The scooter is undeniably fun, especially fun on fresh cut grass and having the option to bring your furry friend along in the basket at the back adds an extra level of enjoyment. For my personal experience my dog loved the crate we put in place instead of the basket mind you he is a large parsons jack Russel terrier. It's a delightful experience to see your dog's ears flapping in the wind as you zip around the neighborhood. The basket is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a small dog but I put a larger basket to better fit my larger dog this and provides a sense of security with its high walls. In terms of convenience, this scooter ticks many boxes. The electric motor ensures a smooth and quiet ride, and the battery-powered operation eliminates the need for constant refueling. The adjustable seat is comfortable, allowing for longer journeys without fatigue. The scooter's overall build quality is sturdy, and it handles well on smooth surfaces, making it suitable for leisurely rides in the park or on bike paths. However, I did notice a drawback that could be improved—the battery life. While the scooter's battery is decent, it falls a bit short compared to some other models on the market. Having a removable battery this particular model has a battery life of about two years, this could make this product more versatile. This is just one of the few drawbacks from this amazing scooter. No more car payment, ever. This thing takes me all over town. The stock battery works for my situation. I have a 5 mile round trip. I take two kids and backpacks. I know this is not recommended, but we get along fine. The charger I received was not working, idky. My older daughter’s pocket mod charger did get it to full power. I am very impressed with the performance. I was not impressed with some of the bolts, particularly the cargo rack ones. Even cross install didn’t help. They stripped anyway. We have so much hardware from junkyards though. Most JY sell nuts n bolt by the bucket, if you get in a pinch. I put it together. I’m not mechanically inclined. If you’ve ever tweaked your bicycle, as a child, you can assemble. It comes 90% complete, anyway. My hub tightened everything to specs though. He is very safety conscious. Some things to note, plug it in straight away, before assembling. It will give you a jump on charging. Borrow a small socket set. The included tools are difficult to work. Cross install good bolts to all areas. You will jump back n forth between hardware to capture the best grip (google). All in all I’m buying another. I have no idea why razor doesn’t make the vintage style pocket mods in 16+ at 48v. I would love another look to add to my collection. I have no problem with spending on scooters, because I have no insurance or car payments or tag fees or registration fees. No risk of a traffic ticket, and money gone. I am free to go where I want without any input from anyone. My town has pro-scooter, pro-cart, & pro-environment laws. Razor is changing lives with these Metros. I am swapping the batteries next weekend with 15ah for extended range, not speed, speed improvements take a different motor, no thanks. I want it to be 100% my transportation. I’m excited to continue my journey as an eco conscious person. Why are American cars so enormous and expensive? I’m over all the problems with vehicles. I’m in love with it.Modification has been a seat on the cargo area. Hub bolted it like the rapture is coming. I bought seat thru Amazon too. I’m waiting on my headlights and blinkers. I’m going to update this review with a video very soon. Sorry if this is hard to understand. I deleted a bunch. I’m dyslexic, and I hope the utility, value for price, and quality comes through. 5 stars on for transportation 1 star on nuts and bolts 5 stars on meets or exceeds expectations I was expecting pocket mod size. I was not sure what to expect with this scooter. I've watched many reviews of youtube videos and such. My only critique about this scooter is the weight. IT IS HEAVY! I do not recommend this if you have to carry it up the stairs every use (unless it is part of your workout). Pros: Very easy to operate Parts are readily available from local bike shops/retailers. They are literally standard bike parts. Easily upgradeable Powerful enough for most use. Its quick and fast enough to get around city streets. 18mph top speed. 21mph on a good day (level street, no wind, no hills, etc) Cons: VERY HEAVY!!! its about 80lbs +/-... plus its awkward shape to pick up I wish the range is longer. in reality, you may get around 10 miles average range for this E scooter Charging takes longer than i would want LED Battery level indicator could use a lot of improvement. Its wrong most of the time (dont trust it, not accurate) Did i mention it is really HEAVY? Overall, i strongly recommend this E scooter. It isn't the best looking nor the fastest, but it does get the job done. NOTE: I plan on upgrading the battery to lithium in the near future. When I was a teenager, I begged my mother for one of these and the answer was always, “NO!” Well, the pandemic has taught me to enjoy life and live a little. I decided to buy one while in my 40s. It was the best decision (besides going to college) that I have made! I haven’t smiled so much since having my child. It is like riding a bicycle for the first time. Feeling the wind...whip thru your locks or the speed of racing around your neighborhood. As a women, it took me 15 minutes to put it together. It is very simple. One tire, handle bar, basket, and seat...and I was done with putting it together! The tools to put it together were included in the box but I did use my own wrench to help get the job done a little faster. The only thing is that the box and scooter are very heavy. I am only 125 pounds so it was a task for me to lift it out the box, but I did it. From the pictures you can see I added a few accessories like: lights, bell, phone holder, bike lock, and even a bar for my daughter to hold onto while riding. All the accessories were purchased here on Amazon for maybe an extra $60. I purchased a mirror because while riding I get paranoid that we have oncoming traffic behind us so I really hate turning around to look. The speed is great except for when you are going up hills. It lags and slows dramatically especially when I have both myself and daughter, who is 43 pounds on it. My scooter has out run a small dog, but I don’t know about a persistent pooch with a greater capacity to sprint. I haven’t rode it to see if the 12 miles limit is correct but I have rode it for 30 minutes straight without the battery reading low. I suggest you let it charge for 10 hours and putting air in the tires before your first ride. My tires were low and not at the suggested 41 tire pressure. The price was right, and I got this scooter at a steal or $399. I will update if anything goes wrong, but for right now my daughter and I are loving our weekend scooter rides. ... show more

I ride this scooter frequently as a third option of transportation to work for the last 2 years, it’s about a 4.5-5 mile commute from my house to the downtown area of the city I live in. I’ve probably ridden realistically somewhere between 600-1000 miles on the original battery and motor, and I can confidently say it’s been a very reliable scooter. Drum brakes are strong and the seat is one of the comfiest I’ve seen on an e-moto or bicycle, just keep up with maintenance and don’t come in with unrealistic expectations and this scooter should definitely be adequate for the price. (I’d recommend finding it on sale for less than 600 as that can be done mine was purchased for around 450)👍 ... show more

Best price, easy to assemble, widest deck, biggest wheels, street tires, big basket- these are the positive things about the scooter-the things that attracted me to it. I've had this scooter for 3 weeks now and for the most part I like it. The negative attributes, however are: low mileage per charge. I only get a disappointing 8-10 miles per charge. I had a friend do a battery upgrade to 48 v. This just made things worse. Also there are no shock absorbers. You feel every imperfection in the road right up your bones. Unfortunately this keeps me from taking it out for a fun cruise. Instead i just use it for getting to and from the store, work, etc. I weigh 200 lbs and I'm 6' tall and I feel it's big enough for me size-wise. It doesn't come with lights or mirrors so I bought some and added them. They were all plastic pieces of junk and are now duct taped to the handlebars. If you need to go more than 3 miles from home to your destination then another 3 miles back, I suggest you explore a lithium battery or gas scooter. Update: FLAT TIRES FLAT TIRES FLAT TIRES! I got my first rear tire flat after 2 months and then every month following. Good luck taking the wheel off. The local bike shop wouldn't touch it. The mechanic shop across the street just laughed at me. I've had it 6 months now and I'm going to junk it and replace it with one with solid tires, lithium battery and suspension. Update: I've had it for over a year now. I've bought a 50cc gas scooter. Big upgrade. Anyway I had to buy a BMX Kevlar tire for the back of the Razor to keep it from going flat. I had to learn how to work on it myself. I plan to keep the razor to go to the corner store for when I store the gas one for the winter. You see I can't drive a car. I was very hesitant about buying this scooter.....AGAIN....because I purchased the same scooter a couple of years ago, from a bicycle shop in town. I brought it home, and it never ran. So I loaded it back up and returned it to the store, they kept it a week, and said the controller was bad. So it was going to be a couple of months before I could get it replaced so I asked for my money back, and they returned it. So, that being said, I was afraid to order another one, although, I have had great luck with Amazon making things right, when something isn't right so I gave it a shot. And I followed the instructions of not riding it until I had charged it the amount of time they said to charge it before riding it for the first time. There are red signs all over it, saying DO NOT RIDE IT WHEN YOU GET IT, UNTIL YOU HAVE CHARGED IT SO MANY HOURS. And it has run great, I have had it about a month, I ride it every day and charge it once a week, and so far, it has not left me stranded, although I haven't really monitored how far the battery will go. I just ride it around in my neighborhood for fun. I weigh 195 and it seems to carry my weight fine. My husband now wants to get one to go riding with me. I also bought a bigger basket for it, so my 8 lb. dog could ride with me. The basket that came with it, is super small. Overall, I am very happy with this scooter. Oh, and the replacement batteries are much cheaper than electric bike batteries and in the video they look very easy to change also. ... show more

I ride it daily, i live in an area where stores and things are near by, so that basically use it for. You only get about 40mins or so battery usage, so it's not for long commutes, unless you can charge it along the way. It has a speed of about 18 mph, not bad for me anyways, and it has a basket, which is very convenient . I will say you have to assemble it yourself, so if you aren't good at that or strong enough to tighten screws you'll need help putting it together. Once you charge it over night, your good to go. Never rode on a scooter, only driven cars so i was nervous, but i had help and it's like learning how to ride a bike, but with a motor :-). You can control the speed of take off, so thats good, and it has a seat, which helps you to balance, imo, better. It has some weight to it, so if you live on high levels or have to climb stairs you need to keep it in mind. It can be awkward to turn when your in tight spaces, so if your living space is small, you will do a lot of lifting and shifting to get it placed right where you want it in your home.
