You'd think they'd spend a little more time on product photos and make it perfectly clear there is indeed a top strap on the 300 Lumen model but as I write this one of the main photos for that item shows a guy with only a single band around his head (no strap over the top of his head). I took a chance that it would be the same as the 50 lumen model I own already, and it is (with top strap). At just over 12 bucks each when you buy two (the 2 are packaged in a single blister pack) this is a great light for the price. Very bright on maximum (blinding if you look into it), bright enough on the dimmer setting, and personally I don't need 14 other light modes as some headlights now feature so am happy with it. ... show more

The picture shows a top strap, but it does not come with one. I've tried to contact the seller to let them know this is false advertising and try to get it corrected, but so far I've been unsuccessful in getting an answer. I understand that COVID-19 has slowed everyone down, and this is not a high ticket item. But, if you can't take pride and honesty in the little things, how can you be trusted in the bigger things (products)? These light sources are used for caring for patients in the home setting, and it is very important that they are secure. The top headband is critical in stabilizing them and for comfort for the healthcare provider. Disappointed that I can't even get a reply. ... show more

This is by far the best headlamp I ever bought. It's very lightweight and stays where you aim it. They are very bright and only have two settings so you don't have to click them 15 times just to turn them off. Just twice. They don't seem to sell them at the box stores anymore so I pick up a few on Amazon to leave in different areas of the house. Buy them now before they stop making them. ... show more

This replaced a previous Rayovac headlamp I had had for over six years. This new model does not have the strap that goes over the top of the head, so it is not as pictured. I much prefer the design as pictured, which is what I had before. Also, it is extremely difficult to open the compartment to exchange batteries. I have to pry the compartment open with a knife. I use the headlight for at least an hour a day, I use rechargeable batteries, and I've had it for six months, and I still can't open it without using a knife and struggling with it. The product is just average. I am going to keep it despite a couple of facts: 1) what I received is NOT as pictured - the headband is a single strap and does not have the middle strap which goes over the crown of one's head; that middle strap is precisely the reason I ordered this headlamp; and 2) the Rayovac batteries were dead as a 500 year old cat - I loaded Energizer batteries and it works just fine. I gave an overall 3 stars, but that might be generous depending on how long batteries actually last. ... show more

I am happy with this headlamp. It is bright, and the angle adjustment works well. Unlike some cheapy headlamps, the angle adjustment holds this one in place securely, e.g., it does not move around every time you move your head. I also like the high and low beam feature. The low beam is sufficiently bright for most of the applications for which I use it (mechanical, plumbing, and other DIY projects where a light on the work surface can be helpful). All in all, this headlamp seems like a good value for the price, and I will probably buy another one at some point. ... show more

I have become quite fond of this light. It's a gem for ~$10. I mostly use this for installing bus advertisement cards in the middle of the night - walking into pitch black buses lit with only the ambient outside parking lot lights. I also use this light when working on my car at home, or any other times a flash light is needed. I use this light with rechargeable batteries. I think this unit is far superior to cheaper ones like the Mitaki design. -The batteries plug firmly, and directly into the unit, and not some weak spring loaded barrel. -The LEDs are much higher quality – the light is whiter and far brighter. (even with rechargeable batteries, the light is still very bright) -The unit feels solid. The plastic is dense and compact. It has hard rubber trim around the circle of LEDs. The button has the same hard rubber, and has definitive click to it. -The back cover is a little tough to remove, but that might be a good thing. -It rotates firmly by ratchet like grooves, and stays in place quite well. -Two modes: first click is full bright, second click is half brightness. If you are considering those cheaper lights, I would spend the extra couple bucks and get this one instead. It is worth it for the quality of LEDs, and fit and feel of the item.
