Rats are everywhere! Even if you do not see any signs of the little buggers, they are lurking. The person who says..."Why, we don't have any rats on our property"!, is mistaken. Their home might be the super byway for rats to reach a better munching station. Read the literature, survey your situation and get ahead of the game. A beautiful subdivision just a couple of miles away from us, is suffering the ravage of infestation. Because there are so many rats, they are competing for food which means they are out and roaming in broad daylight. For the homeowner it is a little late for one or two traps, they are now in need of several traps per household; and, everyone in the area (6 mile radius) needs to be trapping also. You can never get rid of all of the rats....you can only control the numbers. I have been to the community gatherings and have heard what everyone is saying, and I have come to the conclusion that these are the best traps because there is no way that they can grab the bait and run. The trap consists of a battery operated shock that ZAPS them when they enter the box. An indicator light tells you when you have caught a rat. You then pour the rat out into an old plastic bag and toss it into the refuse can. You do not have to look at it o touch it. Germs and diseases are taken care of. Question: Who could possibly say that they do not need a couple of these? Answer: The jackolope next door who swears that he does not have any rats. ... show more

    • worthless after awhile
I bought three of these and they did work great for awhile but now all three of them no longer work even though I changed out the batteries. Very disappointed.
