Did the job just fine. Flys didn't appear to be attracted to it, but if they got close enough they were done. They will get stick with just one tiny leg touching and can never escape. Not for reuse. No odor. Good quality.

Nice and sticky! Don't waste them! READ!

These are priced cheap and very sticky! I am not a fan of killing things but when flies get into your house, they poop everywhere and multiply quickly. If you have a litter box in the house they also get into the boxes and then fly around and touch many surfaces. Unfortunately it requires traps such as these, to rid the problem. It is hard to keep flies out of the house when opening the door, etc. Make sure when you go to hang these you, twist/pull the fly paper out of the tubes at the same time. I pulled some without twisting and they ripped, happened to 2 of them. Don't throw them away if that happens though! If you have an open top trash can in the house, place the ripped one in it. I was still able to catch flies that way as well. *These catch all types of flies, I saw a few reviews that said they do not catch house flies, that is incorrect. Those people would benefit from placing more traps up. Put them up and they will do the job. I suggest putting up a lot of traps, you will get a quicker outcome. Take us for example, we put up 1 in the bathroom, 3 in the living room, 2 in the bedroom, 2 in the backroom and 2 in the kitchen. You cannot expect to put 2 traps up and have that work. Put multiple up in different locations, in each room. They are cheap enough to buy a lot. Some people do not like the look of them hanging with dead flies, which I totally understand. Maybe that is why they only put up a few? We personally would rather rid the problem. Took us a few days to start to notice the traps working.

Sticky. Cheap. Works.

They catch the bugs. One of the first two rolls didn't have the pull loop so had to extend it by hand. Yuck. Can attest to its stickiness I had to get the glue off my hands by scrubbing with Bar Keeper's Friend. Wear gloves or use needle-nosed pliers to extract from the cardboard roll. Follow the instructions, it seems some reviewers didn't. Clearly states to twist as you extend.

Do not store at room temperature!

Store these in a warm room before you use them or they will break when you try to set them up. I left them in a 70 degree room and it was too cold and when you go to deploy them the cardboard cylinder will break away. After 2 hours it has caught nothing, my Raid nearby has caught 6. I will not purchase again.

Absolutely Useless

Barely works. I have a video of an adult fly that completely ignores the trap despite the trap being right next to it. And added a new video of the trap RIGHT ABOVE flies and they completely ignore it. These traps are up for days. They catch very few fruit flies and gnats as well. I have the little ones flying everywhere in my home with THREE of these set up in the kitchen and it’s doing absolutely nothing to catch them. At this point a manual swatter is more efficient. I even tried applying vinegar to the traps to see if that would help, but they’re not biting at all. This product is useless. Also, it ropes out but stays tangled. Can’t get it to stay fanned out. As you can see my manual vinegar trap attracts them better than these traps (in the clear lid).

Works Great Here

In my barn, I get these swarms of little flies that fly in organized square holding patterns. They're very quickly trapped by this product. I can confirm that these are very effective for many species of flies in the Northern US and probably parts of Canada. As others have mentioned, be very gentle in extending the roll, as it tends to be fragile. Take your time. I wear disposable gloves in case I have to touch the sticky part or it brushes against my hand by accident. As long as you have realistic expectations, this is an excellent product. By realistic expectations, I mean that it simply can't attract every species of fly worldwide, but it might work in your region. If it had a universal attractant it would be a pretty impressive feat of chemical engineering. The same is true of ant bait and non-toxic mouse bait. Sometimes the species doesn't find it interesting and that's just the way it goes. Your mileage may vary accordingly, but it doesn't mean the product is trash.
