Very durable! I use them to attach water buckets to the inside of my dogs' crates. We used similar products in kennels when I worked in vet med. I'd occasionally run into issues with those hooks where the mechanism became worn and the hook wouldn't spring shut on release. Eventual wear is expected, but what I've purchased are still in perfect working condition after well over a year of attaching and removing the buckets at least once a day. ... show more

These are NOT steel or wrought iron, they are die-cast zinc. That's the only thing keeping them from being 5-star. They will not hold a horse, cow, or Great Dane. But they are sturdier than most, nicely finished, and work smoothly several times a day opening and closing lambing pens made of horse panels. I used this at the end of our dog's outdoor leash. I was surprised by how sturdy it has been; we have no issues with it. Anyone with a dog leash knows they do not hold up to the elements well in the winter, but this has been extremely dependable. I will likely purchase more for other needs.
