All I can say for now, because I haven't used it yet, it seems of good quality. But let me say something about Customer service. They are on top of it, had a missing item and they went overboard to take care of me, let's hope the product is as fantastic as there Customer Service.

Great rain fly! but make sure the top seam seal does not leak water... I took this rain fly on a backpacking trip and slept great! The next night we had a decent thunderstorm I stayed dryer than my friends, but I noticed a very slow leak on part of the top seam seal it is very minor and only dripped a drop every like 30 seconds so will be easily patchable, I also could have not tightened the rainfly enough it was tight before it rained but did loosen up a tiny bit (could be my own fault as I tied knots instead of using the included line tighteners) I did lower the one raised flap during the rainstorm but the top part was about the same. I did not want to get out as it was dark and raining however I didn't get wet out though (but could be an issue over I would guess maybe 6hrs or more of a rainstorm, the thunderstorm I used it in was about 3 hrs but it worked) overall great, could be better (water beading slowish and the seam seal COULD be an issue), but not bad for a budget rain fly, would recommend for starting off, it has great versatility and provides good shade, and definitely way better than nothing for water protection. ... show more

I took it on a 37 mile backpacking trip on the Ozarks. I didn't get poured on, but it was drizzling and misty the whole time and this kept the area around my tent dry so my dog and equipment wasn't in the mud. It was nice not squeezing everything under the vestibule. This tarp was easy to use and very light, I'll probably buy a larger one because this worked so well. ... show more

I've set this up a couple of times in preparation for a camping trip. This will primarily be used to cover a campground picnic table. For the price, I'm unimpressed by the build quality of the fly itself as well as several of the kit components. The measurements are: 11' 7" on the ridgeline (fabric tip to fabric tip, not loops) and 51" from the ridgeline to horizontal edge nearest the ground, so not a true 12 x 10. First the pros, then the cons. PROS: - It is lightweight. - Properly staked and tensioned it is reasonably quiet in strong winds. - Does not feel hot underneath, so I believe it is blocking most of the UV. - Hasn't been exposed to rain yet so no rating on that feature. - The gray color is pleasant. CONS - I didn't find any stitching issues but the grommets are sloppily placed. I use adjustable tarp poles as the main support for this fly and I can see a potential failure in this area. I'm counting on the lifetime warranty to cover this if it does fail. The posted picture is of one of the BETTER placed grommets. - The included mini carabiners are junk. The gates that are supposed to spring shut actually stick open unless you manually close each one. I'll be replacing these. - The included stakes are in no way long or stout enough to secure this fly in any but the best of weather and the best of ground conditions. - The stuff sacks are a joke. I've never encountered a stuff sack that wouldn't cinch properly but these don't. For some reason the sack material binds against the cord and it actually takes a fair amount of effort to close them tight. Stuff sacks are supposed to be a convenience, not a nuisance. I've got extras so the originals are going, going, gone. Since I can't chance that I'd receive an alternative in time for my departure, I'm sticking with this setup. At about 40 bucks this is overpriced for the quality. $20-25 would be more reasonable. If I had paid $50 for this it would have gone back immediately. ... show more

The fly does a great job keeping rain away. With wind & rain, it never leaked. However, The fly feels smaller then 12x10. Don't know how the company measures it, But doesn't feel like it covers much.
