  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you need.
I like everything about this tarp system, just wish it weighed at 16oz or less. But great tarp for the money. Slept thru 2 storms and no leaks. I did change out the cord to add some lighter weight reflctive neon and I changed adjusters to line-locs and added Kammock Claws to the ridgeline ends for faster no-tie tree attachment. ... show more

Handles the wind and rain very well if you know what types of weather you want to set up your camp in.

Using as a boom tent on a small sailboat and it's survived wind and heavy rain. Definitely would buy again.

Really happy with this tarp. Goes up fast and stretches out nicely to stakes or trees. Kept me dry through two nights of rain

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Rain cover
Size: 12X10 Feet Color: 12x10 Camo Pixel Blue
The cover is offered with rope that is not the best quality. I would suggest getting your own rope. Also the tarp is not big enough to cover two hammocks as one of the pictures show. I go the product to cover a double stack and the bottom person had no cover.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good!
All I can say for now, because I haven't used it yet, it seems of good quality. But let me say something about Customer service. They are on top of it, had a missing item and they went overboard to take care of me, let's hope the product is as fantastic as there Customer Service.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and Lightweight
I took it on a 37 mile backpacking trip on the Ozarks. I didn't get poured on, but it was drizzling and misty the whole time and this kept the area around my tent dry so my dog and equipment wasn't in the mud. It was nice not squeezing everything under the vestibule. This tarp was easy to use and very light, I'll probably buy a larger one because this worked so well. ... show more

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars UPDATED AFTER USING. And a mention about customer service
HERE IS MY UPDATED REVIEW: I really wanted to love this tarp. And I did on one sunny camping trip. The color is nice, it didnt stretch at all during the night. It is lighter than my other tarp by a couple ounces. While longer it doesnt actually give more coverage though because of the way it is cut. I am planning an AT hike soon and felt I needed to rain test this. So tonight we got a nice heavy rain coming it so I set it up in the backyard. After 4 hours I went outside and it leaks. A LOT! There was some leakage from the middle seam but most of it was just coming through the fabric! Some water was running down the tarp and some was collecting and dripping down to where I would be sleeping. See photos. I had a couple plastic lawn chairs under the tarp, in case we just wanted to hang out and they both were splattered with quite a bit of water. Good thing I tested it first! Unfortunately I cant get my money back as its been too long. HOWEVER, I did email the seller about the tarp leaking and they emailed back within a day! About 10 days later I had a replacement tarp! Customer service is OUTSTANDING! As for the replacement tarp, I will rain test it as soon as I get a chance and will update. UPDATED AFTER RAIN TEST: I tested the replacement tarp in 2 thunderstorms. While it did not leak as much as the first one, some water did come in. A light misty rain may be ok for this tarp, but in a heavy downpour you MAY get wet. Sorry guys, really wanted to love it, but a few drops will still soak your gear given enough time. Just cannot trust this tarp to keep me dry. ORIGINAL REVIEW FOLLOWS: I really wanted one of those $200 tarps. But I just cant afford it. So a friend said that if you shop wisely you can get a $50 tarp and turn it into a $200 tarp. I have done this with some other tarps but they were all advertised as 10x10 and when you get them they are really 9.5x9.5. When I decided I wanted a 12 foot tarp I bought this one. Just a few things. It seems thin, but this isnt necessarily a bad thing. Since I havent used it I cannot attest to its durability. The sewing job seems nicely done, however a couple of the grommets were off center a little. The center seam IS taped on the inside. BUT...READ ON... A couple things I want to point out, to the manufacturer as well, to make this a 5 start tarp: 1. Get rid of the grommets. It only adds weight and when rolled up in a backpack the movement of them rubbing on the tarp can cause holes over time. They also take away from the waterproof area as they let water in. Loops are WAY better. 2. Put waterproof tape on the upper side of the tarp. When taped on the inside, if you use a complete ridge line the rope rubbing on the tarp will rub off the "tape" over time. Better to have the tape on the top, or just connect the ridge line to each corner (from corner to tree on each end) rather than continuous line under the tarp. 3. The ridgeline corners need to be taped too (see photo). Where this has been sewn is 6 inches in, so that takes a full foot off your waterproofness under the tarp. So these need to be sealed too. Just another point. The camo color isnt quite as shown. There is A LOT more tan patches on the tarp I got. Maybe that doesnt matter to some, but it did matter to me. I wanted more greenage. Carabiners are cool but you are better of learning a couple quick tie and quick release knots. The survival bracelet is...ummm....well, the ferro rod wouldnt produce ANY spark, but the compass points north, most of the time. I may use the lines, but they seem pretty thin. ... show more
