As of now I am very satisfied with the product. I recently installed this on a closed top barrel. The installation overall was rather easy I only ran into a couple small issues which were, the installation video link on Amazon didn’t not bring me to YouTube but once I found the video it was easy to follow. The other issue is there was NO directions or a list of tools/drill bits needed which I happened to find a couple comments that claimed a 1 3/8” spade bit would make a large enough hole, so I bought that size bit only to find out I need a larger spade bit. I decided to not go back to the hardware store and instead used my jigsaw to widen the hole. Due to the lack of written directions/parts needed for installing, I can only give this product 3 out of 5 stars. ... show more

    • bulkhead will not fit though hole in top of standard plastic barrel
This is a great valve and bulkhead, however it does say you can use it with a closed top barrel. I was unable to fit the bulkhead into the closed plastic barrel through the existing holes in the top. I reordered the 3/4 inch version and it fits fine. Still a great product just not for closed top barrel. You could probably sand the nut down as you can't get a wrench into barrel anyway but that seemed like too much work. ... show more

    • Break very easy
The spigot works very well for emptying 55 gallon drums fast. I used my two tanks only one time however, before breaking them. Both within 20 minutes. Some of that is my fault but I mostly blame the spigots for being extremely weak. One spigot broke when loading into the truck, I barely bumped it. The other broke when it fell over, empty in the back of the truck returning to fill it up. I was not a happy customer yesterday, now I have two 55 gallon drums with 1 3/4 inch holes in them and there are no metal spigots that can fit that so I'm forced to buy new tanks or more cheap plastic spigots. I still have 300 trees to water... ... show more
