I bought this for my 5 year old grandson and he loves it. It's his first scooter and I think it'll be great for him to learn on. He's already ridden it several times and he's getting the hang of it. It's fairly easy to put together and you don't need any extra tools. The nut to one of wheels did come off when I was attaching it but I just held it in place. The scooter feels sturdy also. This scooter is great for any kid learning to balance and maneuver on a moving vehicle. The lights make it fun. There are several different settings to switch through for different light combinations. The lights do not automatically shut off, you'll need to press and hold the button for 3 seconds to get the lights to turn off. The scooter does not come with batteries. You'll need 3 AA batteries. The wheels roll smoothly, and with the adjustable handle bars, it is easy to accommodate the handle for comfort. My only complaint is that the release lever on the height handle bar needs a longer screw. I barley loosened it to raise the handle bars and the lever piece fell off, along with all the other pieces in that component. It was very precarious to get it back together and tightened back on. Once in place it feels sturdy, but if you have to loosen it, be prepared for it to fall off. Could easily be fixed with a longer screw, but you'll need to come up with that. ... show more

Great 3 wheel scooter that comes with a light setting function with 10+ color mode for solid, blinking, rainbow colors. The wheels are hard plastic that works on a flat surface, and it has a break feature in the back wheel. The scooter uses 3 AA batteries to power the light so you can use it in the dark. The only slight issue is the it's hard to turn with the scooter, it's not a traditional turn left or right, but you have to pull left or right to make the turn. It's the best gift you can give a young girl. It gets her away from the screens and doing healthy things. The other girls all have scooters, but not light up ones. I can see her at a distance and know where my child is, and I think it will help her be more visible for cars. Safty 1s very important to me, and it seems to be much more visible. Great scooter that brings joy. Fun day or night. Works well and easy to assemble. Fun for many ages and boy or girl. My granddaughter loves this scooter and rides as .ich as she can. Icy deck or freezing rain she wants to ride her scooter. She even chose it over her 12volt sports car.

    • Magical light display!
The media could not be loaded. This scooter is sure to enchant any child! The lights display (see my video) is vivid day or night, and would make me feel a bit safer having my child using a scooter in a dimly lit setting, knowing they will be easily spotted by oncoming traffic. The scooter uses three AA batteries (not included) which need to be installed via a Philips head screwdriver. This is somewhat inconvenient, but I figure most scooters are stored in a garage, and most garages have a screwdriver. The motion of the scooter itself is fully manual, therefore it can be used even if you have no batteries or if they die halfway through a scooter session. Be mindful that the max weight on this scooter is purported to be 110 pounds. I weigh a bit more than that, so I was very gentle in my testing of the scooter and found it to be a smooth, enjoyable ride. Though the pictures in the listing depict that the tires sparkle, they are a solid glossy black with no sparkles, haha. Seems like a minor detail bit one worth noting. The handlebar is sturdy but also adjusts easily without tools to accommodate your child's height. ... show more
