I received the chair 6 days earlier than expected. Came in 2 separate boxes, packaged carefully and wrapped in protective cloth. Step one, where it said to “push here” I pushed, pulled, moved and had difficulty disengaging the reclining mechanism. Finally my partner was able to do it. The “leather” on the chair is a combination of genuine leather and man made leather, per diagram on Amazon. The chair is super comfortable however the leg part is short, and doesn’t want to stay up in a reclined position. I bought an ottoman which works fine with the chair. I am 5’7” 63 year old female, a little over 200 lbs. and I was disappointed that the reclining mechanism did not lock in an upward position like my other recliner in the living room, and the length of this recliner was too short. The fact that it is well made and super comfy, I will still enjoy it. I haven’t received it yet, but within a few hours of ordering, it shows it has already been shipped out! Wow! I am setting up a spare bedroom as a reading nook and also adding a tv to the room as a retreat from the living room, as my partner insists on watching certain networks I have no interest in, this I hope will save our relationship. I needed a comfortable and welcoming chair, and didn’t want to spend money I don’t have, (starting my retirement) plus I need it to be delivered to me. I don’t want to bother anyone with a truck to deliver, if I were to buy a recliner from a local furniture store. It was either here on Amazon or wayfair and since I had Amazon gift certificates and $50 off from Amazon just for ordering this, I decided to choose this chair in beige. Firstly, the diagram showing what parts of the chair are genuine leather and the other parts being manmade was up front and honest and I appreciate that. Secondly, I love the depth of the seat, I’m 5’7” female who finds a deep seat comfortable. It looks modern and from the reviews it looks like it’s a great choice. Reading about the company is also impressive. I will write another review once I receive the chair which Amazon says will be by 1.13.25, to give you my honest opinion, because buying a piece of furniture without testing it, is very unnerving to most of us, and reviews are what can make a decision. Packaging was secure; chair arrived in good condition. Assembly was definitely not a breeze--the directions didn't indicate in which direction the rectangular peg should be inserted. I managed to insert it facing the wrong direction & it was almost impossible to remove. Once I was able to remove it (after at least 3 hours & many chipped nails), the chair lived up to expectations. The chair is very well-made, a bit firm but comfortable, and has a stylish appearance. The leather portion is of good quality & the price of the chair was great. The manual pull to recline the chair works well--this works with the peg & attached steel chain that I had to remove & reorient then reinsert. 1 review I read mentioned difficulty with the "push here to unfold the seat base" mechanism but the seat base released easily when I pushed the lever. Zipping the cushions onto the backrest was a bit tricky but accomplished after 2-3 attempts. 1 major complaint = to collapse the chair from the fully reclined position requires quite a bit of exertion & once collapsed, you have to firmly kick the footrest back so that it will lock in place (you'll hear a click when it does). 1 smaller complaint = the included installation diagram showed the side pocket on the right armrest but the pocket was actually on the left armrest. Overall, great chair but not ideal for my intended purpose.

Lovely smaller leather-where-you-touch -it recliner. Purchased to fit in a smaller room so my husband can watch tv in comfort. He’s 6’ and over 200lbs and he says this chair is very comfortable. Be careful before assembling!! Take your time and READ the instructions. It took my husband and daughter 45 minutes to get the wire clip off that they installed backwards. It went in perfectly the second time when they read the directions. They also had to remove the back after installing it because they hadn’t hooked both brackets into the tracks when they installed the right side/arm section. And there was no adjusting the side “on the fly” once the back was on. Also, the cushions for the chair back are stuffed neatly UNDER the base of the chair. We thought they were missing UNTIL WE READ the instructions. This seems like a quality manual recliner that won’t overwhelm a room with its bulk. It’s a good value for the price and my husband seems really happy.

It is many things good that my previous chairs over the years were not. You do not sink in the seat and the seat is higher not low near the floor. The seat is somewhat firm. Well firm but not over firm. Very good quality for the price I paid. I am a tall person 6' 4" and weigh about 225 pounds and it suits me fine and would suit a smaller person as well. Top grain leather is also one reason I purchased it since I had one recliner years ago with the "pleather" which after about 5 years starts flaking. It is a nice refreshing orange color.

I can't give it 5 stars because I never got the instructions on how to put it together. Though it's easy to put the parts together. Figuring where the cable went and put together was complex. I had to figure it out myself. Once it was together. I have to say. It's a nice recliner. If you have a small space and you need a recliner. This is the one you want. I use to own a furniture store and it's actually made pretty well. Genuine leather too. You'll be happy with this recliner.
