Reviewing this as a gun cabinet, not a safe. In the pictures the door looks much like a heavy safe door, but it's not. The "box" of the cabinet is sheet metal, as is the door. Arrived in good shape after quick shipping. Instructions are good and 4 lag bolts are included for securing the safe to the floor or wall. However, bear in mind the bolts go through sheet metal that can be defeated by just a moderate amount of force. The programmable lock works fine. The locking bolts on the door also work fine, but again, use the sheet metal edge of the door opening to lock against. A crowbar could be used to defeat the door in just a few minutes. Because the sheet metal tends to "clang" when disturbed, I plan to line mine with peel and stick carpet tiles to keep the sound down. Something to think about if you will be using this to quickly and quietly access a firearm for home defense. This cabinet is good for child safety. It will keep young, curious hands off your firearms, but even an amateur burglar could gain access given some time and tools. No fire protection, either. So, as gun cabinets go, this is a good one for its price, but it's not a safe.

I really like this safe for my rifles and personal documents. It’s easy to access with your finger print or a key. I accidentally lost my key and the manufacturer sent me a new one right away. I have not had any malfunctions and have had the safe for a few years. It’s a good buy.

The Quicktec gun cabinet is perfect for any home or home office. I'm able to store my rifles and shotguns with ease. Up to 5 on the rack and a separate lockbox with key for handguns or other valuables. The setup was pretty easy and took only 5 minutes to complete. You get a set of keys for the safe and internal lockbox but the best part is setting up your "Biometrics" fingerprint security access. It's small enough that it fits anywhere in your home and only weighs 99 pounds. Once it’s in place, you have the option of bolting it to the floor or wall with the provided hardware. It’s a great deal overall.

Thinner walls than expected, but I mostly needed it as a lockable cabinet rather than a fullfledged safe, so it serves its purpose. Lock would not relock after being opened, but Quicktec was quick to respond and is replacing the unit as possibly damaged in shipping (something IS loose inside the mechanism so this is likely). All in all, not bad, and very affordable. Update: Received the replacement unit and it works exactly as expected, locking again as normal. The original is confirmed now to be either damaged or defective, and was replaced extremely promptly at no cost to myself.

I had high hopes for this "safe" and was let down pretty hard. It arrived and box was already questionable as it had some damage. Not terrible but it was ripped alittle. I open it up to find what looks like a pretty in tac "safe". Then I open the "safe" and notice something glaring right threw it....it was the sun!! It has a massive crack on the top seem. This isn't a safe but a gun cabinet with a heavy door. It also weighs around 50 pounds so picking it up is easy. This wouldn't last against fire, a fall or tip over or even my 5 year old nephew with a screw driver. Folks if you want a safe I know it sucks but take it from me, someone who was trying to be cheap, just buy a real safe and if you can't afford it save even more money and just buy a gun cabinet. Now I have to figure out a way to get it to UPS and return it. Also was asked to package it in its original packing. What a headache. Take it from me and buy a real safe.

Ok let's get something out of the way here. This is not a heavy duty safe. It is not designed to be. If that is what you are looking for, you will need to spend a lot more. That was not what I was looking for. I needed a safe that would keep my kids away from my long guns, while still allowing me to get to them quickly in an emergency. This fits the bill. It is about 90lbs, which took me some time to get it to my second floor master bedroom. I was very impressed with the packing of this thing. There was foam on all sides, thick cardboard protecting the edges, and plastic protecting the corners. There was no damage at all, even though I heard FedEx drop it from the truck. So nice of them. The combination is easy to program. First you need to pop out the plastic cover to reveal the key hole, and open it with the key. Once open you can hit the reset button along the inside edge of the door, and punch in your code. That is it. A couple of things you may want to add, as some other reviewers noted, is motion sensor led lights. If not it is pretty dark in there. Also magnets under the inside box will allow you to stick some handguns there. One thing to note is that with coviid-19, shipping could take longer. In addition, FedEx tracking is messed up so you may see tracking information that is not updated. I had quite a few conversations with the seller trying to figure out if my safe had really shipped and when I could expect it. They were very responsive and worked to get everything resolved.
