I read all the reviews before purchasing and saw some complaints regarding the finger print scanner. I've had no issues. I set it up following the instructions (about 3 months) and have zero complaints. Works exactly as described. Opens quick and easy. Feel like a quality built hefty safe. Definitely makes me more likely to carry just because it only takes a second to open. And I feel it will keep my kids out of it even if they knew it was there.

All-around great safe note that if you have a small gun It's going to get a little lose I have a sig 365x It's a very small gun so it sit way down in the safe so you can't Grab the gun as fast not big a deal just informing you if you have a small gun the other thing is the time is in Military so when you get to Midnight it's 1200 1300 wish it had the Option for am,pm with that said easy to attach, great Quality and has a rubber stoper when it opens only had it for a week now so I don't know about the battery life it went to 2 bars from 3 right away but didn't move yet so will see about the battery like but it does have a USB cord Bottom line one of the best safe for the price out there

This is a really nice gun safe. When it opens its opens really smooth and it’s easy to get the gun in and out. The only drawback is the fingerprint scanner is very specific. If you don’t put your fingerprint in just the right spot to catch the print you scanned then it won’t work. It’s a good size for the money too.

It’s June bought this in February and been purposely accessing it every other day to test the battery because it takes regular AA’s, and it’s hasn’t gone down in charge and I love that it has the back up plug in case the batteries die. Silent mode is clutch because it is loud when it beeps. Great for mounting on a piece of furniture u may have near your bed. Great for home defense.

I couldn't measure it, but it was definitely less than a second —so you can access your firearm in a pinch. Programming up to 20 fingerprints and setting a passcode is super easy, giving you plenty of flexibility. I input several of my fingers, as well as the wife's. The drop-down drawer design makes access quick and smooth, and it’s easy to mount in just about any spot—nightstand, desk, closet—you name it. The LCD display is a nice touch, letting you keep an eye on temperature, humidity, and battery life. Plus, the internal LED light is perfect for those middle-of-the-night moments.
