This gun cabinet / "safe" far exceeded my expectations. It was delivered fast, was packaged well, and was assembled easily. The finished product is nice and solid. Definitely needs to be secured to a wall. Floor bolting is not really an option. Fireproof? Not really. Perhaps it could resist fire, for a short period of time, but I would not store my pertinent documents in this cabinet. The electronic controls require 4 AA alkaline batteries. Assemly took about an hour. Assembly tip 1: don't tighten the screws until the top and bottom plates are installed. Get most of the screws installed to just short of tight. Once the top and bottom plates are installed, the cabinet is square and all screws can be fully tightened. Assembly tip 2: Have a light handy. Assembling a black box using black screws could be a frustrating experience. I used a flashlight and a battery lantern to help with the assembly process. Assembly tip 3: Most of the weight of this cabinet is in the front due to it containing the locking pins. You will have to secure this cabinet to a wall. Floor anchoring is not an option. It includes4 expanding 'red head' style anchors to secure to a cinderblock wall. If you are securing to stud wall, then you will need to provide your own fasteners. PROS: 1. I purchased this specific model because it had 4 lock pins. Most importantly, it had a top and bottom door pin. Many of the other comparable units that I researched here on Amazon didn't have top and bottom pins. This cabinet locks securely with the distributed pin insertion points. 2. This model fit my needs by offering rifle storage, shotgun storage, pistol storage, ammo storage, case and range bag storage all in a small footprint. 3. Shelf height is adjustable to your storage needs. 4. The finish is nice, even after assembly. It just looks good from the outside. 5. The electronic lock works. Requires 4 AA alkaline batteries. (Only alkaline. Does not work with rechargeable AA batteries.) Set a combination, and it works. The emergency battery access pack is an added bonus but probably not necessary because the physical keys can open the cabinet if needed. CONS: 1. Requires wall anchoring. Floor anchoring not an option. Includes 4 expanding redhead style anchors. Included anchors will not work in drywall or studs. Most of the weight is in the door assembly, which makes this unit front heavy and succeptible to tipping. 2. You will need to purchase extra lighting. The interior of this cabinet is very dark. It has something on the door that could possibly be called a light, but it doesnt' really offer any relief to the abyssal darkness within. Order additional lights. Summary: I am extremely happy with the purchase of this cabinet. While it is made to look like a safe, it is more of a cabinet with a safe like locking system. The 4 pin locking system is more secure than I expected thanks to the top and bottom pins. For such a small footprint, this cabinet offers more storage than I expected. I am very pleased with my purchase of this cabinet that is sort of a safe if anchored properly.

So far it is a decent gun cabinet with lock. It is definitely not a gun safe, you have to put it together and the metal is not very thick so if you got some tools and a bit of time, you can easily get into it. This is more to keep things away from the kids in one place. The keys that come with the lock are pretty nice but the lock itself could be a bit better. The interior light doesn't really shine much so you are better off getting some magnetic ones motion activated to add or some other type of lightning for it. The password setup was pretty easy in my opinion and the way to reset it as well. You are not going to fit 8-12 guns in here unless they are super small or skinny. A decent size shotgun and/or ARs will take up the space quickly. I'd say 4-6 decently equipped guns will fit fine, anything else might be a tight fit on the big space. The smaller pockets can hold multiple pistols and other items and I'm happy with those. They were one of the main reasons I went with this locker vs other ones since I wanted areas for ammo and other things. The interior locker has a simple key and again, if you want to get into it, you will since it's held by tabs and two bolts. It's more of an extra layer of security for opportunity thiefs if anything. Overall for the price is not bad and I'm happy with it. If you need a safe, search for something else, if you just want to store a few things so that kids or others can't get to them easily, this is for you. I'd recommend some better lights and some adhesive felt or other lighter material to stick to the inside of the cabinet to make it easier to see what you have in there. I'll update my photos if I get a chance later on with my additions

I’m extremely happy with this safe. The build quality is solid, and you can tell it’s made from durable steel with security in mind. It feels sturdy and gives me confidence that my rifles and pistols are safely stored and protected. The electronic keypad works flawlessly and provides quick, reliable access when needed. The electronic lock system is designed specifically for fast access while maintaining strong security. The adjustable shelves are a great feature and make it easy to customize the layout depending on what you’re storing. I was able to comfortably fit multiple rifles and still have room for pistols and accessories. The interior organization makes everything easy to access and keeps things neat. Setup was straightforward, and once in place, it feels very secure. This safe is an excellent value for the price and perfect for anyone looking for dependable firearm storage at home. Highly recommended—I would absolutely buy this again.

Very nice Large sized secure gun safe that looks really nice and feels strong and secure. It's made of alloy steel, and has a thick front door with locking bolts. It has an electronic combination lock so you can either use a combination and/or use a key to get into it. It comes with 2 keys. It has anti-theft alarm functions with the option to mute it. Has a separate lock box inside with it's own set of keys as well to secure valuables. The gun rack shelves are adjustable and removable. Lots of room to store rifles and larger guns. We feel it's safer to keep weapons inside a safe rather than in a closet or somewhere that kids or someone can access them. My husband is very handy and we had no issues putting this together. Good instructions and came with a nice screw driver.

I really like this gun cabinet. It took me a little over one hour to put it together. It fits all of my long guns and pistols, with plenty of space for all of my ammo. The extra safe inside the cabinet is also quite nice, so I can lock up some extra valuable stuff. Obviously this isn't as secure as a $5,000 gun safe, but it is better than what I had before, which was just my guns sitting in their cases in my closet. Really happy with the value, 5 stars.

Fairly easy assembly. Hubby doesn't use directions, but liked these because they were just pictures and not wordy. The order was wrong on a couple sections. Drill HIGHLY suggested or it would have take forever. Overall cabinet is sufficient. Kinda thin and sorta front heavy unless loaded. Not thief proof, but should be good for kid proof.

What convinced me to buy this safe was the video in the add showing one man putting it together, seemingly easy, in just a few minutes. Assembly of this safe is extremely difficult and dangerous. The door of the safe is extremely heavy compared to the cabinet itself, making the whole safe totally unstable during the assembly process. The holes that the self-tapping screws screw into are very hard to see. I had to use a flashlight just to see them, and while I was trying to line up the holes, the panel was flexing, making it very difficult. To attach the top panel, the front screws have to be tightened from the inside, with the door opened, making it totally unstable, even with the door supported. Because of this, while I was partially inside the cabinet, the whole cabinet toppled over trapping me inside, with the weight of the safe on my right knee. I injured my right knee and left hip. Thankfully, my wife was there to help me out. Understandably, this safe needs to be anchored to the wall, but, you have to put it together first. There-in lies the problem. I can't rate the safe itself because I was never able to complete the assembly.
