I ordered this for some storage with low expectations. Pleasantly surprised. It opens quickly and holds five “golf clubs” easily. Small footprint, so you will need to screw it to a stud, the floor, or put something heavy in the bottom so it won’t tip over. It is well-packaged with metal corner guards. Great for keeping the clubs away from cleaners or little ones. It has more space than I thought. It is not water or fire-proof and won’t stop a determined individual with the right tools, but you already knew that. Keypad is very responsive and the key option is good to have. 1st gun safe. Arrived quickly. Impressed with how well it was packaged. Regardless, top edge was dinged a little but nothing to fret over. Safe looks smaller in person but it's great for a starter. Door pockets are very small. I put 2 boxes of bullets (20ea) in door which caused safe to tip forward. Not very sturdy on carpet. I placed a strip of cardboard under front edge which solved problem. Recommend mounting if you have pets or small kids.Thought top shelf was missing on inside but it was hidden on top underside. Regarding the keypad, based on directions it didn't work for me. After some time I was able to figure it out. Settings button is on the inside edge of door jam. Press & hold until it beeps (blue light light will illuminate on keypad. Press #, desired pin, # again. Once light stops flashing repeat sequence. Press & hold setting button, #, desired pin, # again. You should hear a different beep and you're all set. Remember to hit # before and after pin in order for it to work. It took a few times for me to realize I had to hit # before putting in pin. Overall this was a good buy. I bought this safe to house my first firearm. I didn't need anything big like the expensive safes you find at sporting stores. This one looked like it would do the trick. Thinks I like: - The light on the side is helpful since I keep mine in the basement. When you open up the safe a light will turn on to help you see inside the safe (battery operated. 4 AA batteries) - Having a code has been extremely convenient. I keep the keys safely stored but can access the safe with a code. You can have 4-8 digit combinations I believe. I like that you can have a longer code to make it difficult/impossible for kids to open. - Adjustable supports! You can adjust the height of the guides within the safe to match the barrel length of your firearm - Included pistol holder. I don't have any yet, but I like that there are holsters included The bad: I just wish this was a little bit taller, I knew the height when I bought it, but just double check. IF you're going to have barrels longer than ~28" you may have you remove the top shelf for it to work. I had to do this. This is more of a heavy duty locker rather than a safe which was expected. Pros: 1. The price compared to others is a pro since a lot of products within this price range all have the same function and quality. 2. Easy to program the passcode. Cons: 1. Very tight space. I have two ar15’s one with optic and the other with iron sights. They fit alright but the compartments towards the bottom of the door get in the way sometimes. 2. The locking mechanism & handle feel kind of cheap like if i twist too hard i would break the connection of the handle and lock. Im sure there are better options but this works good enough for me. Id avoid spending an extra $100 for something of the same quality but different layout and or lock. They arent safes after all, just heavy duty lockers. ... show more

First, the look of this safe. It has a modest design, nothing too impressive, but not so much that it's ugly. However, I noticed that it was badly torn at the corners, as if it had been through a storm. I could tell that the quality of this safe was faulty shortly after it left the factory. Coming back to its performance. The security of this safe is still okay, but it's just too much of a hassle to operate. I felt very inconvenienced by the fact that I needed to turn the bulky door every time I opened and closed it. Also, it has a surprisingly broken hole in the door, which makes me have serious questions about its durability. From a usage standpoint, this safe did not give me a good feeling. The corners are hard to clean, and I found that it is not structurally sound and always wobbles when placed in the corners. This makes me very worried that it could collapse and injure me if a child or pet in the house accidentally touches it. When it comes to value for money, I don't think this safe is cheap, but its performance doesn't match that. There are many other brands of safes on the market that are more affordable and perform better. So, from a value for money standpoint, I wouldn't recommend buying or using this safe. Overall, I am not impressed with this safe. It has a broken appearance, irrational structure, average functional performance, poor user experience, and poor value for money. If you need a safe to protect your valuables, I suggest you choose another brand and model to avoid being stuck with this terrible safe. ... show more
