What this is good at: 1. Keeping your firearms secure, so strangers + children don't access them. 2. Being affordable 3. Having an external backup battery pack to unlock the cabinet What you need to know: 1. Must be bolted to the floor. Else, 100% will tip off when front door is opened. Being 75lb ish, a grown man could carry it away, clumsily. 2. Not fire rated. Can probably be opened with an angle grinder -- not a true "safe" for sensitive documents / expensive jewelry. Installation Notes: 1. 6 holes on back, 4 on bottom. 4 bolts given. Was a minor pain measuring, aligning, and securing it to the wall. But very stable once set. 2. Front door can be lifted off once fully opened. Makes installing much easier. Setup Notes: 1. Takes 4 AA batteries (not included). One press of Red button on the side of the front door lets you set the password. Have to type it twice, with a pound after each one. 2. Default password is 1 2 3 4. Press Pound before and after the code to open. What I like about this 1. Very sturdy lock. You can see the rods extending when you turn 2. Comes with 2 keys and the external battery pack in case you lose the keys (but remember the code) 3. Plenty of room and spacers to put in 5 long guns. Was worried my gun with bipod + scope might take up 2 slots, but worked out (your mileage may vary). 4. The top shelf is easily removable, and can store up to 5 pistols with the included spacer. 5. Side panels on front door can store a few more pistols + magazine / other stuff. 6. Padding on bottom to prevent scratching the finish. Spacers fit well to prevent guns sliding around. 7. Well packaged for shipping -- 8 metal corners pad the shipment from the inside. Overall, happy with my purchase a the price point. The top shelf is fine with putting in some minor valuables and documents so you don't lose them, but I'd put those in a fire rated plastic box first.

This is a nice safe. Depending on what your definition of a safe is. For what it is, more like a glorified filing cabinet. I thought when I was purchasing a “gun safe” that it would be fortified, thick, durable, and had to realllly put some effort into breaking into it being a gun safe. Not the case here. And that’s my own fault with high expectations. The right and left side (pov-looking directly at it) as well as the top and back are about as thin as a piece of paper. If someone wanted to break into this thing…I probably could stab through it with almost any blunt object. If I had an angle grinder, I’d have this thing cracked wide open in 20 seconds flat. With that being said, it is nice still acting as a closed and secure place where kids and anyone coming along cannot get into it. You can bolt this thing down to the floor and the wall. Interior and electronics are solid and easy to understand and set up..was great. Dont have any complaints whatsoever in those departments. All of the hardware was not bagged at all and had to remove everything inside to find them hidden along interior lips and the edges under corners of the felt. Everything was there, just had to hunt for the hardware. So, if your intent is a secure and nice looking box so no one/kids can’t just grab something…perfect…if you’re looking for a safe that is difficult to crack or bust into..look elsewhere. My wife is “a smaller woman” and she can lift this thing up by herself and carry it off no problem. Again you just have to have realistic expectations and know what this “safe” can and cannot do. I would definitely buy this and recommend it for what it is and does. My expectations were off though.

I recently purchased the KAER 3-5 Gun Safe for my home, and I’m very satisfied with it. The size is just right—it comfortably holds my rifles and a couple of pistols, and I really like the adjustable rack and removable shelf for organizing everything. The extra pockets on the door are also handy for ammo and small accessories. Setup was straightforward, and the safe feels sturdy and secure. One of the main reasons I bought this safe is because I have a 17-year-old son at home, and I wanted the peace of mind of knowing that my firearms are safely locked away. The quick access feature is a nice balance between safety and convenience, giving me fast entry when I need it but keeping everything secure from curious hands. Overall, it’s a solid gun safe at a fair price, and I feel much more confident having it in the house.

This safe is exactly what I needed. It’s compact enough to fit in a closet but has enough room for a few rifles and pistols. The quick access keypad is reliable and easy to program. It feels very sturdy and provides excellent peace of mind. For the price, you can't beat this quality.

I’m very happy with this safe—it’s sturdy, heavy enough to feel secure, and offers more space than I expected. The setup was quick, and programming the passcode was simple. I like that it comes with backup keys for peace of mind. The adjustable racks and removable shelf make it easy to customize the inside for rifles, handguns, or even important documents. It’s compact enough to fit in a closet without taking up too much space, but still roomy enough to hold what I need. Nothing overly fancy, just a solid, reliable safe at a great price. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for affordable security and practical storage.
