Unfortunately, this did not fit our queen mattress which is only 12" deep. Not only were the fitted sides of the protector not deep enough but the top of it was too small so did not cover all of the top of the mattress. Maybe the one I received was defective. I admit when I looked at the cooling mattress pad, I thought "this will never work" but in desperation, I put it on my memory foam mattress that kept me sweating and tossing all night. I was amazed. I sleep comfortably and soundly all night. I don't know how it does it, but I'm so grateful it does.
