This works great on my Honda Gold Wing. The length of the cable would be great if it was about 8-12 inches longer. I was able to get from my handle bars to the fuse box without extending it but if I have to cut any off to redo things it will be too short.

    • Easy Install
Bought this to mount my phone to my handle bar so I could use the navigation, and not kill my phone battery on a longish ride. Installs pretty easily, got the mounting kit, vibration damper and charger unit. Ran the wires, routing them until I happy with how neat the install would be. Cut the wires to length. Hot wire to a fused connection, ground direct to the battery. It sits right in the middle of the bar between the clamps. It’s the perfect height (in the garage at least) so when I’m aboard I can still see the trip meter and temp gauge/clock plus tach and speedo without issue. Once the key is on, phone starts charging and away I go. Well….I will, and soon. Departing this coming week, and was glad the kit arrived early enough for me to do the install and test it out before getting on the road. Got a few ride to work days ahead of me to test things out and make sure it’s all good, even in the sun. ... show more

This charger paired with an antivibration mount works surprisingly well. I have it mounted to the handlebars of a 2017 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200. After 2200 miles of riding with it I can say that it is sturdy and locks my phone in well; maybe too well as it has been challenging to get it to release a time or two. It can be a little tricky to get behind the phone case and press down on the retainer, but I usually do it with gloves on and that adds a layer of complexity. The charger is "fast charging" according to my phone but still takes quite a while to charge a phone up, especially if you have a navigation app running while charging. There also isn't an included 3-amp fuse or a switch, which are critical on a bike, so you don't run the battery flat which is definitely possible. ... show more

This thing is a game changer when you’re riding your motorcycle you don’t have to worry about plugging anything in and also I think it makes your phone more waterproof cause you don’t have to worry about the cable or a USB connection on your bike where something can fry.
