This printer brings pro-level performance to my home workshop, with features that make it a joy to use. The setup was incredibly easy – I had it up and running quickly, thanks to the clear, step-by-step on-screen directions that were a breeze to follow. The pre-calibrated components and intuitive interface meant I was ready to go in no time, with zero headaches. The ability for multi-color printing, just like the Plus 4, is a fantastic feature. With the Qidi Box (Automatic Material System) that I paired with it, I can run up to four filaments in a single job, creating vibrant, multi-colored models effortlessly. The Qidi Box keeps filaments dust-free and ready, offering a user-friendly experience for beginners while letting advanced users fine-tune settings to reduce waste. It’s a versatile setup that makes multi-material projects a breeze. The chamber heater has improved over the Plus 4, which is already a good printer, by holding a steady 60°C across the build volume with even better consistency. While the Plus 4’s heater was solid, the Q2’s upgraded system takes it up a notch, ensuring flawless results with materials like ABS or nylon – no warping on large models, and long sessions come out perfectly flat. The improved insulation keeps the heat in and the noise down, making my workspace more comfortable. The bed sensors are another big win. The Q2’s upgraded inductive sensors deliver spot-on auto-leveling with mesh compensation that adapts to any surface. The included bed is very good, providing perfect first-layer adhesion right from the start. This reliability saves so much time compared to other printers I’ve used. My only minor critique is that the touchscreen could be a bit brighter in direct light, but it’s a small issue. The media could not be loaded. I am loving this printer. Qidi has fixed virtually every complaint I could have had with the Q1 Pro in the Q2. Glass lid and door instead of plastic. The door has a handle, the lid has a handle. The lid is in a channel! You push it back when you want ventilation instead of having to take it off and find somewhere to put it. The waste container is non-existent, but that's fine because you can print one! Qidi has gone a different direction here and the waste filament is dropped into a shoot that leads to the back of the machine, so you only need to put something there to collect it, and Qidi has a file for a container to put there on their website. Timelapse videos have worked flawlessly, which is nice because I never did figure out how to set them up on the Q1. This one just works. I LOVE that there are windows on the sides - these are plastic, not glass - so you can see how your print is going from different angles. The chamber lights in the Q2 do not stretch across the entire front of the chamber, and they don't need to! The way they are set up, there is no issue with glare on the chamber camera. There is a built-in filter box and an extrusion on the back of the printer to attach a duct for venting exhaust of VOC-gassing filaments, like ABS, outside. Essentially, everything I added or printed to improve the Q1? The Q2 already has. It also has a narrower footprint, and no weird bulges when you are trying to lift and move it, which is awesome. I love the look of the Q1, but it was hard to move with my short arms and little hands! The Q2 is far more manageable. Straight lines. Metal case. It's beautiful. The chamber appears to be sealed off from the electronics, which is also a big improvement. I'm not worried about something overheating when printing ABS or something that requires higher temperatures. I'm very happy with the print speed and will probably be buying some more Qidi Rapido filament just because I love how you can just load it, set the filament in Qidi Studio, and go! Oh! And IT HAS A CUTTER! Which means not only is it less of a PITA when changing filaments, but it is compatible with the Qidi Box filament management system, which will make multicolor prints SO much easier. I am in love with this thing. Platonically.

I wanted to upgrade my printer at home and am excited to try the QIDI BOX with the Q2. First impressions are great. I have been running it non stop for a week and have a few spools through it. It is Fast, Accurate and has been printing the ABS very well!

The media could not be loaded. This printer is the best printer for people new to 3d printing. The new probe in the n9zzle makes it very accurate and perfect 1st layer. The new printer ui software is alote faster and responsive on button presses. I highly recommend this to new and experienced users, it can print anything from pla to pps-cf and other engineering filaments. I also have the plus 4 and wish it had this same auto level system in it, it makes printing so effortless whete ypu can just focus on your slicer settings etc instead of manually leveling and rerun auto level bed meshes to get good high quality prints.

The new Q2 is a fantastic machine. We've had the Q1 for nearly a year and it has been a great printer to learn with. We went to the Q2 because of the multi-color capability. The Qidi AMS Box has been ordered, so we look forward to receiving it soon. Out of the box, the Q2 impresses. The previous Q1 was all plastic, and the Q2 is a sleek all metal and glass design. The plate jumped from 225x225mm to 270x270mm, a very nice increase. We've noticed a definite increase in quality of the prints, as the print lines are noticeably smoother. We just printed a calibration cube in carbon fiber filament and you cannot even notice the print lines. We can't wait to start doing some multicolor printing. We are very satisfied with this upgrade!
