This pergola was the perfect finishing touch to my deck remodel. It looks great and after a extra rainy and windy winter here in San Francisco I can say it's sturdy too. As a bonus, the customer service is great. The deck remodel ran long, and didn't actually get around to installing the pergola until several months after it was delivered. When I opened the box I found that a few of roof panels we damaged during shipping. Even though months had gone by Purple Leaf made things right without a lot of fuss or hassle. I would definitely buy from them again!

This Purple Leaf Poly Pergola has really changed our use of our deck. It was perfect for what we wanted. The pergola is a very high quality that I am confident will last for a long time and hold up to the elements. Four of the panels move to give you shade when you would like or not. The gutter system works amazing when it does rain. No water gets through and allows anything under it to be dry and out of the elements. My wife has since added lights, a TV, and fire pit and we spend a ton of time outside on our deck now. Installation was more on the difficult side. I have been working on houses/fabrication/mechanics for years and this was kind of a pain for just one person and took me most of a Saturday. I had to cut, drill and tap new threads in spots but that is because of the size of my deck being a little small for the pergola. Don’t let your pride get in the way like I did. I’d highly recommend 3 or maybe even 4 people to help save yourself the frustration. Customer service and shipping was the best I’ve seen on Amazon yet, those people are amazing and extremely helpful. If you’re thinking about this purchase, definitely go for it! I’m surprised more people don’t have these.

The parts didn't necessarily fit well together, and we had a lot of issues assembling the pergola. For example, the anchoring screws weren't sturdy enough to insert into my concrete porch slab, some of the pieces for the posts didn't quite fit together, and the sliding panels at the top wouldn't stay in place. Other than that, the product is nice and looks great!

Love the look and the build quality. It took a couple of us about 5 hours to assemble. The sliding polycarbonate panels make it very flexible. Open it up when you want some sun, close for shade or rain protection. Our deck is 10’ deep, which made it a tricky fit for anything that was exactly 10’. The set back of the front supports made this a perfect fit. It follows the slope of our existing roof and drains right off the deck. We’re looking forward to using this all year long.

*I will update this post as we progress* One important thing to know before you order is that the delivery date shown on Amazon is actually the date that you will receive a FedEx envelope with the purchase order from the seller. Upon delivery it will show delivered on Amazon but indeed the product does not come for another week or two. This is very important if you are trying to meet a deadline as we were and we did not have this for our Fourth of July party as intended. The seller is very communicative during this process and they will follow up to ensure that you receive the product however, it is a little tricky because you expect the product to show up by the Amazon delivery date and that is not the case. Assembly seemed quite easy initially. We were able to put the four legs together quite rapidly, and even three of the top post seem to be somewhat easy. Some of the holes don’t match very well and my husband had to finagle to make it work. There is a middle post that supports the rear post and that middle post is not long enough. Therefore, we cannot figure out how to support the rear post. It is currently sagging in the middle and we cannot install the panels. We have contacted the company and they are supposed to get back to us with a solution. In the meantime, we have a partial set up and we can’t move any further with completing this project.

Right after I ordered the pergola, I received an email from Purple Leaf informing about the delivery date and process and the number of boxes to be delivered. After the delivery I got 2 emails asking if the delivery was all right and everything was good. It took 2 days to assemble, the instruction was not the greatest but not that hard to follow the drawinga and processes. I did it alone most of the time, my wife helped me when putting the roof at the end. Overall it was not bad at all. After 2 week later I received a text message from customer support again if it was done without any issue, I asked for a nut and a bolt that had bad threads. I received full set of parts in 3 days. They have one of the best customer support. I am enjoying the pergola every day since the weather is so warm these days. Good quality overall for the price.

This pergola is just what we were looking for! Not only does it keep our patio set dry, it also has a tilted roof that directs rain water away from the house. You definitely need 2 people to put the pergola together, and 2 ladders. Purple Leaf support has been outstanding! They helped us with a problem during installation and replaced a couple of panels that were damaged in transit.

Packages arrived in time, intact. Purple leaf team had informed about # of boxes to expect via email. Packaging was good. Pergola structure is very sleek, unique. Possibility to have partial open sky as well as getting sunlight (rather than the dark steel roof) when full closed is the added attraction. Took 4-5 hours for 2 installers.
