The dog I got these powders for is an anxious, highly reactive, former street dog from Romania - he is generally on full alert most of the time, and it takes a lot for him to relax. I noticed a nice consistent improvement in his tummy (sometimes he holds it until he can't anymore, because he is too anxious to go outside in the yard to go to the loo when it's windy, or raining, or there's too much noise somewhere nearby in the neighbourhood) so that was great. Then, after about 3 weeks, I started to notice he seemed more relaxed, more at ease at home. He was sleeping/napping more heavily (instead of waking for the slightest noise or movement near him) like he did when he first joined our pack many years ago and we walked daily 5-6 miles. I've had to cut back on walking for various reasons (time, place to walk, and aging dogs) but I have recently made an effort to keep a more consistent routine for him, and this has also helped. So, this extra exercise and routine may also be helping, but I think the MAIN factor that lets me know that these powders are doing something positive is when out walking, he is 100 times better when dealing with other dogs being walked near us. He is calmer, more easily distracted by treats (focuses nicely instead of worrying about the other dog) and he's not had any of his reactive outbursts in at least 2 weeks now. It's a subtle change, but I have definitely noticed it. I will DEFINITELY be keeping up with this product, as I think it will continue to benefit my dog. I may even get a box for my other dog, as she's a little hyper and crazy and a bit anxious as well. ... show more

I was excited to try the Purina Pro Plan Calming care veterinary supplements. I have two kittens that are starting to become a pain and becoming temperamental. They were curious at first of the supplements and came to liking it over the course of adding it to their food. The sachets were easy to use and convenient. I like that they were in individual packages all ready to give to the kitty's. The like the flavor too. I have noticed over the course of a week that they would sleep a lot easier and were less aggressive and nervous during loud sounds (vacuum) or honking noises from the outside. I really like the natural and minimal amount of ingredients and not feeding them harsh chemicals or medication. They eat it up like a treat and are responding digestively well to it as well. I bought this for my 18 yr old cat who I took in in 2022 after his owner, a friend of mine died. He was always kind of skittish and prone to anxiety but I feel like he might be showing signs of dementia. The worst part is he howls at 3:30am everyday and nothing I did seemed to calm him. I took him to the vet and they said he never made a sound! The box says it can take up to 6 weeks before you'll see a difference. I noticed a difference after only 4 weeks! He still howls but only once or twice and then settles back down to sleep. I'm hoping with continued use he'll stop completely because other than the howling he's a sweetheart. ... show more

I tried this as part of a product trial campaign. I knew immediately that I would try it with my Aunt's 2 Siamese cats that we adopted after she died last year. They don't like other cats and they fight with my babies all the time! It's awful! They really surprised me by loving the taste of the calming sprinkle! I had no issues trying to get them to eat it at all. It took a few weeks, but I have noticed that they are calmer!! Simon's stomach has calmed too. He isn't vomiting much. He overgrooms and that keeps his stomach inflammed and he vomits often. Surprisingly it seemed to work some right away. It says it could take up to 4-6 weeks for the full results. However, there is some difference right now after 2 days. So I am hopeful that it will get better and better. It was delivered the next day as promised. We have a 5 month old standard poodle puppy and he seems to get overexcited and has a hard time calming himself. I put the powder right into his water dish. It is a brown powder. Our puppy drank the whole water bowl and licked the bowl when it was gone, so therefore I guess it tasted good! Very pleased with this product. ... show more

Thank you to Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements Calming Care Probiotics for Cats. On day 4 of this amazing product my kitty started not being such a Meany. He suffered a traumatic injury a while back and would attack and bite when you tried to pet him. He was on prescription medication that I didn't like to see him on. It made him dopy all the time. Since my cat was spayed she hasn’t been the same. She was very cuddly and calm before the surgery but she didn’t do well under the anesthesia and she is now skittish and seems anxious-very jumpy, doesn’t let us pick her up, etc so I was very excited to be selected to the sampling program. Thankfully my cat LOVES the taste of the supplement-she actually stole the box the first night and I found the packets under my nightstand-thankfully she wasn’t able to open them and eat them all-they are now safely stored in a locked cabinet. I’ve been giving her one packet every morning with her wet food. Unfortunately her behavior hasn’t changed much-she’s still very anxious, and standoffish-I’m hoping with time this supplement will help her more. ... show more
