One of my cats is hypoallergenic and the other one isn’t. The vet recommended this because a few of us in the family were very itchy and stuffy we didn’t want to find a new home for our new kitty. We gave this a try and wow within 2 weeks I could definitely feel the difference. We no longer get stuffy or itchy. However if I pet the new kitty and touch my eye I immediately get itchy eyes. I try not to do this (doesn’t happen with my other cat). Maybe still needs more time. He’s been eating this for about a month now which btw he loves it. ... show more

I'll start my saying this cat food is very expensive. That said, I will continue to buy it. My daughter is allergic to the cat and for some reason, she is his preferred person. Her skin was reacting to the cat so we decided the cat shouldn't sleep with her. This resulted in 3am cat tantrums outside my daughter's bedroom door which would wake the whole house up. When I saw this food I thought I'd give it a try since my daughter prefers not to take medication unless absolutely necessary. Our cat had no issues switching to this food and seems to like it. He's pretty picky about food but eats this with no problem. By the time we finished the first bag there was a noticeable improvement in my daughter's allergies. So much so, that the cat is back to sleeping with my daughter and we are all sleeping better without listening to cat tantrums during the night! ... show more

I initially thought my cat was allergic to something in this since her itching seemed to stop after I stopped feeding it to her. However, her itching issues eventually returned so I can't say for sure if something in this was the cause (or the same ingredient is in other items I used). Giving four stars since this did seem to help with my cat allergy for the months she was on it. ... show more
