Purchased this last minute Mal costume for my child who is a size 8 in normal day clothes. We got the 7/8 because she’s not quite in a 8/10. The costume arrived in a huge box which already stood out to me because it would have fit in one of Amazon’s poly mailer envelopes. When we tried it on- the sleeve part came open from the seam. Making the “wing” part of the costume completely fall off. Then the jumpsuit itself was extremely baggy. There is a little stretch to the fabric but it seems like it’s already stretched out beyond repair. So I’m currently fixing it and making adjustments after spending full price on this. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Thank goodness I know how to sew or else I’d have an extremely upset kid. ... show more

Outfit looked adorable. Great quality. I got as a surprise for my daughter who is Descendants obsessed right now, but because of an incident with another product in the package I was unable to use it and had to toss out the outfit. Unfortunately if I reorder, it will not arrive in time and my local stores do not carry descendants costumes so I’m going to have to go another route but I would purchase this brand again if I have need for a gift or costume! Side note: I sized up because my daughter is going through a summer growth spurt. She never got to see or try on the outfit so I cannot comment on sizing or durability.     • Inexpensive costume but missing a piece

It was hard to find an inexpensive Mal costume for my 5 yr old niece to use for dress up, who is a fan of Descendants. This one is inexpensive, comfortable although it runs big/long I would say. It looks okay, not amazing but for the price it’ll work. It didn’t come with the removable vest like it was supposed to though. 😢 ... show more

It’s definitely WAY too expensive for what you get (I paid around $27). I ordered size 7/8 for my 6 year old and it fits fine. The material is very thin and cheap. It has Velcro closures all the way up the neck, and my daughter says it’s uncomfortable. However, she says it looks like Mal’s outfit and she thinks it is perfect for a Descendants dance camp that she will be attending. This is why I gave it 3 stars. Otherwise this overpriced, cheaply made costume deserves a 1 or 2 star rating. It is okay if you are pressed for time, but look elsewhere if you are expecting high quality (or hoping to get more than a couple of uses out of it). ... show more

My granddaughter loves this Mal character and this costume did not disappoint. Yesterday, she put it on as soon as it was delivered and played descendants music on the echo dot and danced like Mal lol she lived the costume so much that she couldn’t wait til Halloween to wear it! So, it’s a one piece jumpsuit type thing with a jacket to put on over it. It actually looked so small but once she put it on it was fitting perfectly. My granddaughter is age 6 size 6x. So i chose the 4-6x . Fits her perfectly. Now waiting for the Mal wig. Sold separately. Can’t wait to see her in the whole costume setup. So cute. ... show more
