Once you fill it up all the way with water, it barely moves, it doesn’t fall over from kicks or strong punches, bounces back a lot to help dodging, perfect for the price tag and a lot better than other freestanding bags.

    • Setup takes a while but this bag works great!
The first thing that you should know about this punching bag is that the setup might take some time. It's not overly complicated, but I noticed getting the right amount of air and water is very important. First of all, there are three different areas that are going to require air, and one of those areas is also going to require either water or sand. The area that requires both water and air, or water and sand is the bottom stand area. I chose to put water in mine, and I ended up having to fill it up with both water and air at three different times until I finally got the exact right amount of water that weigh just enough that the punching bag wouldn't move around on the floor when I punched it. The other middle and top area is pretty easy to fill with air and takes very little time to complete. Once it's completely filled with the right amount of water, I'm happy to say that it's still light enough that I can move it around the garage. It doesn't take up an enormous amount of space but it takes up about the same amount of space that a normal punching bag would take. Now I want to tell you a little bit about using this punching bag. Since it's filled with air, let me just say that it moves a lot when punched! It moves very quickly, and when I hit it sometimes it'll even come back and surprise me by hitting me in the face. It does take a little getting used to because of just how quickly the top portion moves when it's punched. The bag is very durable too! I am able to punch it as hard as I can multiple times and I still haven't been able to puncture it or see any issues with it. I have used the bag with bare fist, but I noticed that friction still builds up on my hands after punching it for a while. Going forward I'll be using some gloves to avoid this. I was really surprised that just how quickly I was able to get my heart rate up in the 130's by punching this bag. I'm very pleased with it, and I really like how it takes up a small amount of space but is capable of allowing a lot of exercise. ... show more

    • Nice inflatable punching bag!
This inflatable punching bag is much better than I thought it would be! When I hear "inflatable punching bag" my mind automatically thinks of the cheap kind my sons had when they were kids. However, this is the opposite! It's made rather well, inflates quickly, stands tall at 69" ( or 5'9"), and it can take quite a punch! This is a good option if you can't get an actual boxing bag. It's bigger than I thought too. Thankfully, we had room for it in the corner of the garage. My husband and our two teen boys like to go out and use it. Even our two teen girls are wanting boxing gloves to try it out as well. It's a good way to keep teens active and working out or training. I plan to use this to teach my daughters how to punch properly in case they need to defend themselves one day, which I hope they never would but just in case. It looks nice in the garage. It's a huge hit (no pun intended) with the guys in our house, the girls too actually. It's made really well and it's worth buying! ... show more

The construction of this bag is all nylon. The material feels realitivly thick and somewhat durable. I dont feel comfortable leaving it around cats or outside where we have stickers, rocks, and sticks everywhere... but for regular use it should be durable enough. We added 5 gallons of water to the base (40lbs) and went to town on it. It handles higher strikes alright, but lower placed powerful punches and kicks (from a 132lb fighter) can still lift it off the ground and send it a few feet. For training purposes this is not a heavy bag, but you can still land semi-powerful strikes on it (without toppling it) as long as you strike high and dont put 100% into it. We ordered this for the miss and children to start on the basics. New heavy bags can be hard on the wrists for inexperienced fighters, so we considered this as an alternative. It is a good training tool for starting out. The pnuematic nature (soft then harder as pressure is applied) of this bag makes it very forgiving on the wrists and feet. Awkward strikes are significantly less likely to cause injury. As with a heavy bag, I would recommend an assistant to help steady the bag from behind for the best experience. For what its worth, I actually really like this bag. You can work it without having to tape up, its easy to move about, and it hasnt busted a seem yet despite some very heavy striking. The kids love it, while in comparison they hated the heavy bag. The height at 69" (5ft 9inches) is good for practicing face level high strikes. My complaints, well I wish you could put more base weight in it to keep it from toppling as easy. Ive also had a plug pop out during use already, but it was easy to refill with air and put it back in place. My though was if it only had suction cups on the bottom it wouldn't topple. I gave this 5 stars due to the low cost ($50) versus other bags and due to the amount of fun the whole family has had with it. If we manage to pop a seem on this guy in the near future I will post an update. ... show more

    • Thick vinyl, good quality - has trouble standing up
I am impressed with the size and quality of this punching bag. It's definitely taller than a child's bag, so sized for adults, and it's made from thick vinyl - more like waterbed thickness than pool float thickness. It was easy to inflate with our pump (manual) and included directions that were easy to follow. The one downside is we filled the base 1/2 up with water as recommended and it still would fall over if my 15-year-old teen kicked it too hard or punched it too hard. We could add more water or sand and that would probably stabilize it more, but then it would be too heavy to move. Once we put it in it's final location (instead of the living room), we'll add more water and/or sand and that should help. Overall though, we're very pleased with it. ... show more
