Does it’s job, more comfortable than others I have purchased. Only problem is no matter how well they are made eventually the metal part in the middle of hand inset ends up ripping due to the metal brace. This needs to be fixed by all mfg.as I’ve been wearing these since my surgeries 10 yrs ago and eventually they all rip. But maybe this is the way they get us to buy new ones every few years. ... show more

So I suffer from mild pre-carpal tunnel issues. Nothing debilitating (yet) but sometimes it bothers me. A friend of mine with serious CT in both wrists suggested I try out some real supports. This one seems to offer really solid support with the 3 bars on the back of the hand and the plate on the bottom. It's a bit restrictive but nice. While the first brace I tried was really tight to shove my hand through, this one has an EXCESSIVE amount of stretchy cloth on the side making it REALLY easy to slide my hand through. I foresee the thing soft grey cloth getting slowly stained and frayed, which will look gross, but I'm sure it could be trimmed if it's a problem. I don't see how that fabric is structurally required for the support anyway, more of a passive comfort I assume. I agree its' a little difficult securing it correctly. I found just slapping the middle strap down (wrong) helped a lot in stabilizing it so you can adjust the top and bottom then redo the middle and fidget with the straps 1 at a time to perfect it to your liking. Not perfectly easy, but certainly doable. I promised my friend with the serious CT that he could try out my braces after I get a few to experiment with and if he has any wisdom to impress us with I'll edit this review to include his comments. ... show more

This is a very supportive brace. It is easy to tighten down with one hand. And it was a great for my slightly larger wrists. I also had my husband try to on to see how it fit his larger wrist and it was still very supportive for him and immobilized his wrist. The Inside layer of material on this is very soft and makes the brace that much more comfortable against your skin. This is a nice touch. Especially if you want to wear the brace while you're sleeping. I'm not sure how it would up while sweating but it should easily hand wash clean. I have carpal tunnel in my wrist and wearing this for the night with my wrist immobilized definitely helped. For some reason I tend to sleep with my writsts bent and it tends to make them worse come morning. This brace really helps with that. ... show more

My husband has lost the majority of use in his left arm due to MS and a stroke. His arm is spastic and bent at a 90 degree angle leaving his wrist/hand up at his chest at all times. Without proper wrist support, he is subjected to pain and injury. The problem with finding a suitable solution for him was either excessive bulk which prevented him from being able to use what little he has left of ability in his hand or a lack of rigidity which didn't stop his wrist from "flopping." This support solves both issues and is relatively comfortable.
