  • Great Value & Sturdy PullUp Station is a Great Buy
This pull up bar station is s really good find for home gym set ups! I am converting my gsrgse into a gym space, and hsve several pieces of ewuiptment snd other gear like kettlebells, dumbbells and resistance bands. I had previously purchased a wall mounted pull up bar but opted to procure a model that didn't require mounting. This station is really cool, somewhat compact and pretty versatile all thibgs considering. Not only can you perform pull ups, but if you have a barbell, this station is capable of spotting you while performing different squat and hinge movements. It was fairly straight forward and easy assembling the pull up bar station. The diagram referred to as the "exploding picture" shows how the pieces fit together....from the beams and posts the nuts and bolts. Some may be able to assemble the equiptment with that diagram alone, but the pages that follow break it down into easy to follow steps. I had no problem putting it together smokey, however 2 sets of hands is always better than one and will certainly have it taking less time than it took me. The materials are so durable and quality! The pull up bar stand feels sturdy and built from lasting materials. I did have some trouble tightening some of the nuts and despite the included wrench, i did need some help and another tool (socket wrench?) to be certain everything was fastened as tightly as possible. One of the reasons I settled on thsi particular set up was the compact size. This pull up station is smaller than one you'd find in a gym, but really the perfect size for a home set up. It total, the station takes up a space 4ft x 3ft, and is onky about 7ft in height. While its definitely an intentional purchase and speedy, he peoce is fair and affordable for this kind of equiptment. Im very excited to begin incorporating this equiptment into my routine! The station also works well with resistance bands and other attachments that you'd use to concentrate on other muscle groups. Pullups work chest, back and arm muscles (especially laterals), and in the past ive gotten good results while using pullup machines (assisted ones). While its only been a couple days, I am very satisfied eith my purchase and do recommend this pull up station for folks who want to create a comfortable exercise haven in their home or elsewhere, privately. It is over $100, roughly $160 at the time of ordering, which is a good amount price for this kind of equiptment. It supports up to 600lbs and thus an inclusive option for many people...5 🌟 ... show more

  • Tricky to assemble but great
Note that there is a Coupon price of $150 currently, a savings of $20. There is a lot I like about the Jusgym Pull Up Station. It is super sturdy and stable. I was initially worried about how much space it would take up in my home gym, but I've been happy with the ROI for the space this occupies. In addition to enabling pull ups, chin ups, dead hangs etc., the free standing pullup bar station also allows me to do barbell squats and stores all my plates. I'm even able to store my FlexBar on it. It has definitely elevated my home gym and workouts. There are a couple of things I wish were different though. First, assembly was not very straightforward or easy. Thankfully, they provide a flat metal wrench and a socket wrench. Install will go much better if you have your own tools though, especially if you don't have to use the cheap flat wrench that comes in the kit. They label each part, but the label is on the plastic wrapping rather than on the part itself. By the time I discovered that, I had already removed a bunch of the plastic wraps, so I didn't know which part was which. That said, it's fairly straightforward to figure out the parts from the pictures in the instructions. The hardest part of the install is that there are pieces that don't align perfectly. It took several attempts to be able to install the enlarged triangle structures at the base. What finally worked was to get all the screws aligned in their respective holes before tightening any of them. And even then, I was only just barely able to get all the screws in place. Similarly, it was a struggle to install the horizontal bar at the top of the rack. I was convinced that there was a manufacturing error, and that there was no way the screws were going to line up with the holes. In the end, after LOTS of frustration, I was able to barely force the tips of the screws into place and then use brute force with the wrenches to twist them all the way in. But the biggest complaint I have about the pullup station is how the J hooks are attached to the station. There are two small hand screws on either side of the J hook for attaching them to the station. Unfortunately, they are not long enough or positioned correclty to keep the j hooks securely in place. Even after tightening the screws as much as possible, you could knock the J hook off my simply wiggling it left and right. I didn't feel safe resting a fully loaded barbell on those J hooks. One of the J hooks was much worse than the other. While there was still plenty of give, you couldn't knock it off the station by wiggling it. Thankfully, the kit included one spare screw and one spare nut. I used those to secure the loose J hook, and it was much sturdier. All in all, I'm quite pleased with the Jusgym Pull Up Station. It turns out my standard barbell is just long enough to fit the J hooks, but I do wish the pull up station was a bit narrower for a more secure fit. ... show more
