I have been taking care of a pool every day for the last 50 years. Over the last five decades, I have purchased an array of pool, maintenance tools from various companies. Because of chlorinated water, which comes into contact with pool, poles, skimmers and nets, these products don’t Last very long; usually anywhere between one and three years. Typical Pool polls are made out of thin aluminum which Dent easily and lose the ability to slide within itself thereby making the pole less than user-friendly. While doing my research for future pool, maintenance equipment to purchase, I came across the company Pro Tuff. The first product that I purchased from them was their pole. I was impressed with how it operated and the fact that it did not work on one tube sliding within the other, instead, it has a locking mechanism that is user-friendly and provides smooth operation. So now, if my higher than expected quality pool, maintenance pole fails; I now would receive a replacement from Pro Tuff at no additional cost because I am a residential customer. I am elated that I can use a much higher quality pool maintenance tool knowing that the increased initial cost factor is only temporary. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and intend to buy any future pool maintenance tools from Pro Tuff.

Pool pole is a little expensive and heavy but made great. You can tell it not a cheap one that brakes in a week. The adjustable lock is easy to use. Loving this pool pole best one I’ve ever owned. Would recommend getting one.

Hands down the best pool pool I’ve ever purchased and with a lifetime warranty!! I’ve used it about a year and it works as flawlessly as when I first bought it. I love the speed you can quickly change the lengths and how it stays exactly where placed unlike the twist lock pools. 10/10 from me. Also, I have not been paid a penny to give this review and honestly I don’t do a ton of reviews. It’s that good.

I’m not going to lie I was very hesitant about spending this amount of money on a pole, but I’m so glad I chose this one. So for starters I researched this topic a lot and this specific pole was mentioned and suggested more times than I can count and I can't agree more with why they were all recommending it. This pole is very well built, sturdy, comfortable and the locking mechanism is the best I’ve used. This has made cleaning the pool a lot less frustrating and did I mention the warranty, it’s hard to beat a warranty like they offer. So if you’re on the fence like I was do a little research and you’ll see just how often this is recommended and honestly you’ll be money ahead by not having to repurchase a different pole every year. This is built to last and I will recommend this to any one who ask.

The most expensive BUT best quality pool skimmer pole I have ever used. It is sturdy and easy to adjust. The price is a bit steep, but as with most things in life, I find I get what I pay for. * Returned it to get the bigger size. Both are great, Turns out we just needed the longer one.

Some quick ROI math for you... Your standard Lowes variety pool pole is ~$40 and in my experience lasts about 3 years before the plastics start breaking down. Assuming that price held steady, it would take 15 years to break even on this ProTuff pole @ $207. You are buying a high-quality item with a stellar warranty, assuming ProTuff stays in business of course, with a unique locking system, but this is undoubtedly a luxury item. Overall, this is a very nice pole with just a couple of minor gripes from my perspective. It's slightly too heavy given the gauge of the metal they use and gets hot as a branding iron sitting in the sun. I have to quickly dunk this thing to the hilt to cool it down before using. I like the patented double-channel locking mechanism, but those 2 channel slots feel slightly awkward in the hand once the secondary is extended, compared to the traditional single channel poles. Minor nit, but maybe I'll get used to it over time. To improve I'd like to see a weight reduction ~10-15% and those secondary channels made smaller and more rounded, so they feel better in the hand. All in all, if you have the funds and want to buy the "last" pool pole you will ever need, ProTuff provides high quality tools and does indeed stand by its no hassle warranty promise. My entire pool tool collection is ProTuff now!
