Nice. So far I only used it for testing continuity on several internal components in my dryer that I repaired (fist time DIY project for me: did a whole makeover while I was in there and it came out great and I saved tons on a new crappy-quality dryer too). This multimeter has good flexible leads and solid attachments that are easy to change and manipulate. Cheapies have thin and/or stiff leads and brittle hardware that just doesn't last at all. Or they are difficult to store in their case because they are so stiff and don't fit well. THIS Proster has great build quality all-around however. And the cost is super reasonable compared to others. Perfect for me as a DIYer. Also, I like the clear indicators and controls. Especially the audible continuity beep – you need that when working on electronic and electric components. Super helpful; I'd say that's a necessity. I would get this one if you aren't sure. I've got zero regrets and it's even a pleasure to use.

The outer (orange) skin that provides the strong magnet and storage for the test leads is thick and sturdy! Also, I like that it has a display backlight, plus a decent flashlight built in. It comes with two fuses. There is an operators manual. It is so small that I can't read it. Ended up scanning it into my phone and enlarging it to figure everything out. There are many languages in it. English is only the first 13 pages. It doesn't give you any reminders on how to use it. Manual is very basic; the manual is inadequate, I think for someone who has never really used a multimeter. The temperature reading probe that comes with this is too flimsy/works but useless! My 20-year-old digital GB multimeter disappeared from my utility room after we had to replace our central air conditioning unit. I assume one of the techs mistakenly thought it was his?? Anyway, I still have the temperature probe from that unit, which is considerably better. The GB probe has sturdier lead wires, and the wand is long and far heavier, than what comes with this, so that's what I will continue to use for temperature. You can actually put a clip onto it to test your auto air conditioning or clothes dryer temperatures. This came with a simple, but decent case. Fair trade off. Have used it several times already. Essentially I am happy, even impressed, with the multimeter itself, but highly disappointed in the actual leads that came with it. I am satisfied with the case. I was looking at a Fluke model, but for basic household use, decided against it. The Fluke model was almost twice as much, and that particular model did not measure temperature, which next to testing battery voltage, is what I use the multimeter for the most. Overall, good value as long as you already have some idea how to use one (or still have your user manual from an old American-made one. LATER COMMENT After about two months, and after the return period expired, the COM inside contact or wire became pretty temperamental. Intermittently, about 40% of the time, it seems like the black wire has to be reinserted or moved around so that it reads. Perhaps that inner contact is poor quality metal, or is already damaged from inserting the wires in and out over just two months. I used it fewer than 12 times!

Accurate (I cross-checked) and easy to use. Sturdy and well made. I like the accessories - probes, alligator clips, temperature and non-contact voltage. It comes with a storage pouch, though it would be nice to have an internal pocket to secure the accessories. One difference from other multimeters I have is that this one has a button for AC/DC voltage selection. Most have a selection on the dial. No big deal, just different. Very happy with the purchase. Would buy it again without hesitation.
