We picked up this PRORECK 12-inch speaker system to use for an upcoming baby shower, and so far, it has been absolutely fantastic. Right out of the box, the sound quality is crisp, and it is seriously loud plenty of volume to easily fill the venue and handle everything we need for the event. The fact that it comes bundled with the speaker stand and two wireless mics makes it an incredible value, saving us from having to piece together a rental system or buy separate gear. The built-in rechargeable battery is a huge plus since we won’t have to worry about tripping over extension cords or finding an outlet near the setup area. It's incredibly user-friendly to connect via Bluetooth, and having the radio and USB/SD slots gives us tons of backup options for playing music. It feels sturdy but is still portable enough to transport without breaking your back. If you need a reliable, loud, and complete PA setup for parties or events, this one is a no-brainer. PS dont forget to open the battery tray and connect the battery so it can charge.

February 2019 My wife bought this PA Speaker for me for Christmas. I wanted it, mainly, to play music around the pool in the summertime using the Bluetooth function (my wife also got me the Pyle PA speaker stand for this unit). I thought the built-in rechargeable battery was a really cool feature because I could take it with me on annual camping trips and get a few hours use out of it. I play guitar, so I was going to use it as an amp, also. The rechargeable battery feature coupled with the good reviews is what sold me on this particular speaker. When I opened it and got it set-up, I was blown away by how loud and clear it was just using battery power. As the battery power diminishes, it starts getting static-y, but that was to be expected. Overall, I was very happy with it and since Christmas I have been using it as a super-sized Bluetooth speaker while waiting for the chill of the Midwest winter to fade away. I've used it while brewing beer in the garage, playing COD in the basement, etc. and I've started to get a little attached to it. Two days ago, I was playing music from my phone on the speaker through Bluetooth (at a low volume) and while playing music, it made a loud buzzing sound which faded away and then silence. I have no idea what happened to cause this, but now the speaker does not make any sounds at all. Most of the rear display still lights up, but none of the input functions (Bluetooth, radio, microphone) will produce a sound. It still appears to connect to my phone via Bluetooth and the FM radio will display and allow me to change stations, but no audio. I also noticed that the microphone display will not light up when I power it on. It appears an electrical component(s) failed, maybe a circuit board, but alas, I am not an electrician. So, at this point, it is a very large, expensive paperweight... I'm pretty disappointed that as expensive as this equipment was, it only worked with very light usage for about 2 months, just as I was getting used to using this speaker instead of an Amazon Tap or similar small Bluetooth speaker. I hope the manufacturer/seller stands by their product and remedies this (hopefully) isolated product failure. March 21, 2019 I cannot say enough good things about Proreck. After my initial review and problem with my original PA speaker, a Proreck representative (Vivian) emailed me about the defective product and sent a brand new unit within a week! I've had the new PA speaker for about a week with zero issues. Thank you Proreck/Vivian for standing by your product and providing excellent customer service!!!

I sing Karaoke weekly in our home media room with a group of friends, some of whom are great professional singers. The equipment in my home is excellent quality, EV 12" active PA speakers for vocals, a 10 channel Yamaha mixer with digital effects, laptop PC running karaoke software, and a high end Marantz 7.1 sound system for the playback music. I use Shure Beta58 dynamic, and 87A wired and wireless condenser vocal microphones. Every guest loves singing through our system. I also own a audio visual entertainment business that supports events, concerts and other live performances for non-profit organizations. We use Yamaha DXR active PA speakers, subwoofers and monitors. I just finished 3 days of concerts performed on an outdoor stage over the Labor Day weekend. I received numerous compliments from several singers and the audience on my sound equipment and mixing. So what does this have to do with PRORECK FREEDOM 12 portable PA? I want readers to know that I have a lot of experience with sound, and that I also have extreme OCD. I was looking for a very portable, uncomplicated and affordable all-in-one PA system to recommend to my friends that don't want to invest thousands of $$ into a PA and karaoke system. I also want a system I can easily load into my car and take to gatherings at other friends' homes, and on road-trip vacations. I've been playing with this system for over a week now and have gotten very used to it. At first I was thinking the included wireless microphones were weak, but it was really me not projecting into the mics. I've gotten spoiled over the years using hot microphones. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this system! The audio quality is great. I use my Amazon Fire tablet to connect via Bluetooth and play Karaoke from YouTube. I haven't connected any music sources directly to the RCA or line in jacks, as I don't plan to use this PA for that purpose. I have tried both inexpensive and decent wired microphones connected via the XLR and 1/4 input jacks, and they are clean. There is very little feedback generated from this system. If you place the microphones directly in front of the speaker and have the mic volumes up high enough, you'll generate some high frequency feedback. The equalizer works well, so you can remove some of the highs if necessary. If you're fussy like me, invest about $110 and get a couple of inexpensive but good quality wired microphones, e.g. Audix 50S, and one decent 25' XLR cable, and one XLR - 1/4 cable, like those sold by GLS. A cheap 1/4 cable will not have good shielding, and you'll hear more high frequency noise. I like this PRORECK FREEDOM enough that I'm going to order another to give to my sister and her husband. And then probably another for my parents who really love Karaoke. I'm going to stick with the 12" speaker rather than the 15", more for portability reasons. BTW - Vivian who represents the seller was very helpful in taking care of my order. Although they were low in stock, they rushed a system out to me when I told them I was kind of in a hurry. Thanks Vivian! 1/20/19 Update - I've been using this PA every week for Karaoke at a Senior Assisted Living Home (about 150 residents) in their "Living Room" which is located at the lobby. Everyone loves the music and singing. I've already commented previously about how the included wireless mics are good only for emceeing and announcements. I would not sing through them. I recently purchased the Proreck MX44 wireless mic system (4 microphones) which has a mix output (all channels fed through one output). This is my goto wireless mic setup now. The great thing about the mix output feature is I use it to connect the MX44 wireless receiver to the PA using only one 1/4 instrument/mic cable. I use a wired microphone to connect to the XLR input. So in total I have 7 microphones I can use (counting the not-so-great wireless microphones included with Proreck Freedom 12/15).

OEM Mic BATTERY WARNING: I have been a professional sound tech for 20+ years. Bought this system as a more portable PA for school picnics, etc. I installed the cheap OEM batteries that came with the unit into the MICs. Our first event was disrupted by a severe accidental laceration resulting in an emergency artery bleed, ambulance, etc, and in the chaos, the wireless mics were left on. Checked the system 2 weeks later, only to find the cheap batteries had leaked potassium hydroxide all over the inside of the mic battery compartment. This required a thorough decontamination/cleaning and a fresh set of batteries. Good system, batteries are junk. Pitch them and install something reliable.

This is awesome! The sound is loud. IT has 2 wireless mics (you do have to put it close to your mouth though). You can bluetooth music and the remote makes it easy to adjust volume and switch between inputs. I would recommend!

I was looking for a portable speaker for my football tailgate parties that had clear sound even at high volume. I usually use a USB flash drive filled with thousands of songs so I needed a speaker that could amplify them with little or no problem. I really don't use the microphones since I don't do karaoke and my singing voice would scare adults, children and small rodents. I've had two other portable speakers in the past with varying degrees of success. One was a Pyle which died on me after one year, and the other is a QFX which is still working but the rechargeable battery has diminished quite a bit. My previous experiences with these things helped me to try and find an even better speaker that wouldn't break the bank account. Since I usually only use it for football season I always hope the battery will last about three or four years before it fades into oblivion. The PRORECK FREEDOM 15 seemed like a good fit for my needs. My order arrived very quickly but my first speaker was defective. The battery was completely dead. Charging didn't help and it would only play with the electrical cord plugged in. I contacted the seller through Amazon and they responded quickly (Thank You Vivian!). They sent me a replacement within a few days. Even though I've only had it for a few days it has performed very well. The sound is great...much better than my previous portable speakers. It also gets very loud. I barely turn up the volume and it blasts my music clearly (and it has a volume for MP3's and also main volume which work together to make it even louder). The Bluetooth works with my phone even though I rarely use it that way. The EQ works on the back and also has various modes for it on the remote. It comes with two wireless microphones but since I don't use them I can't comment on their reliability. I don't know how long the battery will last before I have to charge it but I'm guessing it would be between 3 or 4 hours (I'll find out during my first tailgate party in about three weeks). The speaker is very large but not extremely heavy. It has a hard plastic shell with wheels and it's easy to roll it around and to also pick it up by it's side handles. The remote control is rather small and I hope it lasts a while. My experience with remotes on portable speakers has been that they don't last long and stop working within a year or two. Hopefully this will be different. The question of durability will only be answered as time passes. I have to give great praise to the seller, PRORECK AUDIO for their amazing customer service. I buy a lot of stuff and much of it is electronic equipment. I rarely come across a seller that works as hard to make their customers happy. PRORECK AUDIO's Vivian Lee was fantastic in fixing my problem in an extremely fast and courteous manner. I would be more than happy to shop with them again. So, in conclusion, the speaker seems perfect for my needs and hopefully it will last long enough to get me through many of my pre-game football parties!

I bought this on 2019 to replace similar speaker from another brand due to reviews and recommendations and ohh boy this speaker is amazing, I mean the other brand sounded like a cheap plastic box, but not the proreck freedom 12, The sound is on point! Microphones are OK for general use. Now the bad: The Bluetooth module failed 2 months after purchase, I searched the web for a bit to find a replacement, but without any luck. Sadly that parts seems to be the one most people are complaining about as having the same issue. Another thing that failed is the battery and that happened under a year also. If you plan to use it plugged in most of the time then probably not an issue as the speaker sound is great "besides the Bluetooth" the speaker has been collecting dust. I can probably ignore or replace the battery if I really have the need, but the Bluetooth function is a real deal breaker, very sad that the module is very cheap, and more that Proreck doesn't sell parts for replacement. I wanted to love it because of the audio quality,but instead I'm very unhappy with the Bluetooth module and the lack of information to replaced.
