I purchased eyeliner pencils from both lines: the Loreal Infallible Prolast and the Loreal Infallible Neverfail. They both have very good reviews. This review is for the Prolast. For anyone who wants a short version then I tried only the Prolast, and it got everything that I need so I decided to return the Neverfail (new-unopened). ***The Prolast says 24hrs while the Neverfail says 16hrs on their packages. Pros: I used it to draw eyeliner on top my eyelid (with light eyeshadow underneath), near my lashes line on bottom (outside waterline) and inside my top eyelid(aka inner line). I was working as server on a very very very busy Sunday from 10AM to 3:30PM and my eyes makeup still perfect. No smudge at all and still there. I used Dark Brown btw. Cons: the texture is very creamy, easy to apply on inner eyelid but not "hard" enough to create a "sharp" eyeliner or a thin one, so that lost one star in my heart and I am still gonna need another eyeliner pencils to do that job. Once I found it, I will be using this eyeliner pencil only for inner eyelids and bottom lashes.

I bought the Kiko Milano after reading reviews for the L'Oreal waterproof, infallible pro-last eyeliner and someone said it was better. Well, I bought both and the Kiko was definitely not better. It is soft and goes on easily. But I notice if you go over it, it pulls itself back up and you end up removing it. Anyway I got it to my liking and checked it after an hour and it had run and nearly disappeared. I got my L'Oreal today. So I replied using thus eyeliner. It went on smooth. I applied it in the afternoon and it was still on my lids at 11 pm, so it won, hands down. Basically I have a ton of eyeliners and none of them have that really rich black color and all of them fade (and run) in no time. My absolute favorite was from BH cosmetics, their Power pencils are no longer available as they are another victim of the pandemic and so I'm in search of a new favorite and this is my new go to!

I'm so OVER leaving product reviews but having read other reviews on this pencil I feel I need to. Due to my age I find transfer of eye pencils is an issue. The skin of my eyelids is looser now and eye pencil seems to transfer to above my lash line when I look down. Not only does this pencil NOT do that-it stays on all day. With regard to people that seem to have an issue sharpening it, After reading the reviews I bought both the Michael Marcus bullet shaped sharpener and the L'Oreal one. I just tried to use the Michael Marcus one and it worked perfectly well. I don't know if you can get a sharp point on the pencil, I won't try because I don't want a sharp point anyway. I did not have to put the pencil in the freezer either to sharpen it. Hands down the best eye pencil I have ever used-and I've tried quite a few.

This is literally the best eyeliner I've ever used!! It goes on smooth and easy and stays put all day through sweat swimming and sometimes even showers!! It's very soft to apply. The real shame is when you go to sharpen it it breaks off in chunks like plastic and you can never get a smooth sharpen and wind up wasting tons of eyeliner along the way. They have this in an adjustable tip I would switch to that next time. Update to 5 stars... I followed the advice of some of the other comments and bought a new elf pencil sharpener and it sharpened it with no problem I guess I didn't realize my sharpener had gotten old and dull!!!

At first my daughter liked how this was easy to apply (soft), although her control of the thickness and tapering off was difficult due to how thick it was. It's been about a week of use and she said it was out. I thought I got her the mechanical kind, but it's not and it didn't look like you could sharpen it. I couldn't find a cheap sharpener that I wouldn't mind getting messy, so I used an artist sharpener. Not good. Every time the seriously soft core broke off and got stuck inside. I had to pry it out eventually and mush it on the top of the pencil with my fingers. The sharp edges will probably scratch her if she presses too hard which she can do because she has fine motor problems. Regardless getting a nice taper is unlikely with this because it's too soft. I intended to get the mechanical one initially and ordered this by mistake, so I'll order that now. The pics of my sharpener are after using a toothpick with a tiny cotton tip, then a tooth pick with a wet makeup wipe. My daughter was laughing with her habilitation worker about how the pencil is sooo waterproof and smudge proof, it doesn't come off of anything you put it on. She said it's a cheek liner, a wrist liner... (my daughter is 24)
