Sonos is quite expensive, but you're buying not only high-quality audio devices but also the flexibility of being wireless for sound and the interconnectedness of all the Sonos devices. The Sonos app recognizes all of your various devices and makes it easy for them to work together. You can assign devices to specific rooms or, if you want, set up a home audio network where music is played everywhere. For a home theater, starting with a Sonos soundbar opens the door for adding other Sonos speakers and a Sonos subwoofer. I purchased this used, and the condition was refreshingly honest. It was basically perfect, but for a few light scratches on the top (I guess it was used as a small table?). They can only be seen if the light is just right, and the eyes are close. I put a mat over it anyway (so I can use it as a table too!). Definitely underwhelming for the price tag. The sound bar was great, but this sub is way too expensive for how it performs. Don’t get me wrong I really like Sonos stuff. But this thing is just not worth it.
