This subwoofer packs a punch! It is amazing when combined with the sound bar and surround speakers. Easy to plug in and connect to the rest of the sound system. It isn’t too heavy and can be placed practically anywhere! The construction of the subwoofer is great because the sound is being channeled through the center rather than at the bottom (so no risk of the speakers hitting the surface of whatever it’s sitting on).     • Brilliant & money well spent.
These Sonos systems are truly incredible. I have had my Sonos Arc for a couple of years and had it paired with a pair of the Sonos One SL speakers for the rear channels in addition to a single gen 3 sub. I recently added a second gen 3 sub and could not be happier. If your putting together a home cinema system I urge you to just go with the buy one cry once idea and get the complete system with a pair of subs. I believe all in with the newer rears and the new arc ultra it will put you around $3500 which is money well spent and for 99/100 people this system will exceed your expectations. Kudos to Sonos for putting together such a brilliant system at the price point it’s offered at. ... show more

    • definitely adds to sound quality
subwoofer definitely adds to SONOS speaker sound experience. I brought one to put onto my pair of play1 speakers as they sounded good but didn't have the low bass kick I am used to. System sounds totally different now with dynamic bass, truly amazing difference. On a whim I moved the subwoofer to a room I have 2 play3 speakers in and the difference it made was truly amazing. Sub added low sound freqs that made system sound superior. Lastly I moved to living room that I have 2 play5 speakers in. Wife thought I was crazy to put there as play5 speakers already have good kick and range. Thinking that since the play5 speakers have good bass it wouldn't make a difference, boy was I/she wrong. it definitely improved the music quality dramatically. I'm not trying to be a sales person but once you hear the difference the subwoofer makes with any pair of SONOS speakers its hard to go without them. I currently have 3 subs (2 gen3 and 1 gen2), I cant really tell the difference between them. The only weakness in the SONOS sub is that they are pricey. ... show more

Teamed this with the beam for our tv room (family room), the room is like 20 by 35 feet. This sub fill the room, and provides that theater experience with it. Setup was beyond easy, once the beam was added with the app, it asked if you wanted to add the sub, you say yes, press the button on the back, then software update... done... And it's like a THX sound in a theater at home!!!! I wish it was as pricey as it is... but worth it! ... show more

After a couple of delays my Sonos Sub Gen 3 finally arrived! If you’re familiar with Sonos products then the Sonos Sub Gen 3 is more or less the same with the deep bass response and elegant design we’ve come to know from the previous generation. The major difference with the Gen 3 are it’s internals. I believe it has an improved WiFi card, BLE, and improved processing power. I do wish the Sub came in a matte finish this time around but the glossy design is still beautiful. If you’re looking into buying the Sub, I highly recommend it as it makes your Sonos system better overall. When you add a Sub to your Sonos system, the low frequencies get offloaded to the Sub so that the Beam/Arc and Ones can handle the higher frequencies. It’s a must if you’re serious about investing in the Sonos ecosystem. ... show more

Yes this is fantastic sub but is it worth the money? We purchased the Sonos Arc with a pair of Sonos One SL because we love the idea of a wireless sounds system. The sound quality is exceptional. Our previous setup was a receiver with Klipsch speakers and sub. Which in my opinion, produced a very close sound experience but for 1/2 the cost. Is the lack of wires worth the extra cost? Probably because I plan to purchasing the same setup for the basement. It is nice how Sonos speakers can communicate with each other. They are expensive though... ... show more
