  • This vacuum SUCKS! (In a good way)
Style: White Wall Mount Large WET/DRY
I own a high end auto detail shop and mobile operation. After going through many vacuums I could not be happier with this purchase. When I charge close to a grand per detail I want to make sure I am using the best equipment possible. This means that I want my clients to know that I did not just go to a big box store to purchase my equipment. The vacuum not only looks sexy but is one of the best I have used to date. The instructions are very clear and all of the hardware needed to mount is included. It tells you when you need to replace the filter and when it is ready to empty if you are sucking up liquids. The 30+ foot hose is a big plus as it can reach most shops or garages. I was amazed it came with so many useful attachments. I feel like this vacuum had the detailer or auto enthusiast in mind. If the filter is dirty you can wash the filter which is a big plus as you save money down the road. Most of the filters from the competition are close to $50 and start to deteriorate if you try to clean them too many times. The performance of the machine is great for having such a long hose. I accidentally sucked a quarter the first time I used it and it went in the waste canister with great speed. It is very easy to clean as it only takes two levers to loosen up the waste slot. I do a few cars a day and it is still running like a champ. I will update my review if anything changes. So far I have converted a few detailer buddies to them as they are well worth the price. I've owned vacuums at a higher price and I have honestly felt like they have never delivered. This vacuum is priced at a very awesome price for everything you get with it. Highly recommend it. UPDATE 3/10/15 Been meaning to post an update as it has been a year or so. The vacuum is....to say the least...holding up great! It is still on the first filter as I have been washing the outer sock cover and have not had to use the backup filter yet. I have beat this vacuum up as it rides in the bouncy work truck. Only thing as far as exterior is that the plastic is starting to yellow a bit. I'm guessing it might be because it gets sun beat a lot. The attachments have surprisingly held up as I mainly use three of the supplied tools. other than that this vacuum is alive and well after a year. This means a lot since I was burning through 2-3 vacuums a year from the big box stores. I'll be moving into a new shop soon so I'll be buying two more units. ... show more

  • Great VAC, Great addition to the garage!
Style: White Wall Mount Large WET/DRY
I spent a considerable amount of time reviewing similiar products before choosing to buy a Prolux. The ability of this machine to handle wet as well as dry is paramount. Similiar products are just as expensive but are only made to accomodate dry debris. Also consider the fact that the filters are easily removable and washable! I have ruined enough shop vac filters over the years to immediately understand the benefit of this design. Power! Plenty of suction and a good aray of tools. The crevice tool is a MUST if you ever plan on removing hard to reach debris, especially between seats and center consoles. The lighted display tells you when there is a blockage as well as if the canister is full when vacuuming liquid. It's a simple straight forward machine that is fairly attractive on the wall amid my other car detailing equipment. I use this vacuum at least 4 times a week as I have 2 small boys, a new car, an old truck, a boat that is constantly dirty, and a riding mower. (Yes, the vacuum is great for cleaning off the mowing deck, and it doesn't matter if the clippings are wet). One more nice feature: BLOWER! If you have bought your kids inflateable pools before, you know how fun it is inflating them. Super easy with the vac, especially because I can inflate their pool in place thanks to the long hose. I would happily recommend this vacuum to anyone with kids, likes to detail cars, or is simply tired of having to drag around a corded vac. Oh, and we mounted ours right outside the door to the garage, so we can use it on the landing and stairs in the house as well. Great for rainy days, and coming home from the beach. Thanks ... show more

  • Great vacuum, terrible hose
Style: Blue Wall Mount Large WET/DRY
The vacuum works great looks great easy to install and is overall good quality. My only complaint is the absolutely cheap terrible quality hose. I would’ve expected much better at this price point. The hoses very thin plastic and easily kinks and folds in half with little to no effort. If you can deal with that it’s a great deal ... show more

  • Works well in my shop
Style: Blue Wall Mount Large WET/DRY
Works as it should. Suction is OK at best, but acceptable. Some of the tools are useless, and the case to hold the tools is terrible. Not a bad product, but I am sure not the greatest either.

  • Great Wall mount vac solution
Style: White Wall Mount Large WET/DRY
Vacuum is great. I’ve researched tons of wall mount vacs for my auto repair shop. This one has all the features I want, and the suction is better then I thought it would be, based on the other reviews I read on here. 160cfm, does really well. I have yet to have a clog. The hose is reasonably well made. The prefilter and filter defiantly need cleaned frequently, and the replacement filters are expensive. 40-50 bucks each, and there are 2 Of them. But the filters are washable, and they seem Very well made. Noise level is comparable to any other shop vac. The dirt bin is big. I use it to clean out mouse nests, and other random crud I find in engine bays, as well as sweep the shop floor. I could easy sweep the shop daily for 2 weeks and the collection bin wouldn’t be full. Would buy again for sure ... show more

  • Impossible to get parts or service
Style: Blue Wall Mount Large WET/DRY
One of two wall vacuums already went out. There is a funnel ring in the bin that seals the base to the motor. They were both dumped in the garbage by accident when emptying the bin. Easy to do. This makes the vacuums useless. It seems that this would be a part that you could also easily purchase from the company. However they do not have a phone number to call and the responses we get from email are odd. They never give us the answer for how to purchase or replace parts. Their advertising about having a warranty and easy serviceable parts is simply not true. These vacuums will break down and you will not be able to get parts to fix them. Basically we have to toss both vacuums after just under a year of owning them. We also recently purchased their backpack vacuum. I feel it’s a waste of money. Next time we make a big purchase we are going to make sure it has serviceable parts and a company that can stand behind their products. Prolux has been a disappointment and a waste of money. ... show more
