The media could not be loaded. Here is a quick list pros and cons if you don't want to read the whole review Pros: Great picture quality and brightness, built in Android TV is very convenient Cons: Slow startup, BT audio lag, Android TV is a little sluggish Unboxing and setup Powering on the projector for the first time was a little tedious. It took 58 seconds from the time I pushed the power button until the splash screen disappeared and dropped me into the Android start screen. Well over 5 seconds of the 58 was taken by the motorized lens cover opening up. Also, if you have automatic auto-focus enabled during startup (it’s enabled by default), the focusing process will take another 5+ seconds on top of that. So you’re looking at over a minute before you can do anything with the projector. Android TV was easy enough to setup though (more on Android TV later), and I was up and streaming Netflix within a few minutes afterwards. All that said, I really liked the motorized lens cover, even though it added to the startup time. Picture quality and settings The picture quality and brightness are really good on this projector, and its saving grace. In my honest opinion, it overshadows most of the other deficiencies of this projector. I could immediately notice the clarity and brightness improvements over another cheaper 1080p projector I have, and I didn’t even need to put them side by side. The other projector claimed to be 1000 lumens and this one claims 1500 lumens. Relative observations make the 1500 lumen claim plausible as it does look about 50% brighter than my other projector. Auto focus worked very well but auto keystone didn’t seem to work as well as some other projectors I’ve used in the past. I ended up having to manually adjust the keystone. The good news is the projector saves the manual keystone adjustments across power cycles so you don’t have to mess with it every time you power it on. And the fact the keystone adjustment is digital makes it very convenient. Audio As expected, the small built in speakers are tinny and hollow sounding. It gets reasonably loud though, so in a pinch, they could work just fine. But I suspect most people would want to connect the audio to an external speaker via Bluetooth or the 3.5mm audio output. Unfortunately, the native Bluetooth radio has a noticeable delay when connected to my Yamaha sound bar. A silver lining is that the built in Android TV has its own Bluetooth radio and it fares much better; there was little to no audio lag when using the Android Bluetooth with my soundbar. That is only a partial solution though because if you are not using the built in Android TV, the native Bluetooth radio will be your only other Bluetooth option... though you do have the 3.5mm output too. One last thing to mention about audio is that the fan is a little loud. If you have the volume up at a normal hearing level, it drowns out the fan noise, but you may notice the fan during quiet parts of movies or shows. Android TV First of all, the Android TV feature is literally a separate streaming stick hidden inside the projector behind a door on the back of the projector (see attached video). Its model is WNA-HP47D and is sold under different brands as the Leap-L1. It has a Amlogic S805X2 SOC which consists of a quad-core ARM Coretx A35 CPU and is paired with 1GB RAM plus 8GB ROM. It is connected to the projector via a full sized HDMI port inside the same hidden compartment, which means this projector technically has 2 HDMI ports. You can even open the door, remove the stick, and use it on another TV (it has a micro USB port for power). That in itself isn’t a problem, but the stick does seem a little under powered as the UI and some apps are not very snappy. It runs an older version 11 of Android TV but still works decently. The Paramount+ app kept crashing on me, but all other apps worked well albeit a little slow (Netflix, Amazon, HBO Max, just to name a few). While the somewhat sluggish OS was disappointing, I'm still very glad it has an Android TV option. And since it is literally a separate streaming stick, it's feasible you can replace it with a better one, assuming it fits inside the hidden compartment. Conclusion I was very impressed with the picture quality, which is the main point of a projector. Most of the other cons I mentioned could potentially be fixed with a software update, like the slow startup, BT audio delay, and even an updated Android TV OS to help with the laggy user experience. In other words, they're not deal breakers. In fact, when I reached out to the manufacturer to report these issues, they seemed very receptive to fixing them, so fingers crossed there may be a firmware update. My final words: Though the cons were not deal breakers, I was still intent on only giving it 4 stars. But because the picture quality is so good, and because of the good customer support I received, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and give it 5 stars.

We've had our protector for just over a month and have had an amazing time with it! The automatic adjustments make using this so much easier than protectors I've had in the past!! Super compact makes it easy to travel with (camping, beach, back yard, tail gating, etc) I use a plain white king size top bed sheet, tack it to some trees behind the house, and get great picture quality!! I'm going to next try getting a canvas drop cloth, spray painting it with the lightest matte pale blue color I can find. Mount grommets on the corners. And glue it to a plastic tarp. This way, I can roll it up and tuck in the garage when not needed. (Apparently light powder blue reflects light really well, unless you plan on dropping several grand for a Black Diamond fixed screen, I think there are solutions out there that'll work) The projector quality is pretty amazing. Easy set up (you'll need a Google account). Runs quiet. Doesn't get hot like others. Wi-Fi connection is super easy. Internal speaker is ok, but you really need an external speaker - I use a Bluetooth speaker with an aux cable (keeping it light and portable). The brightness level is great and you could use this in an office setting easily. I've projected onto my white garage door at night and it looked great!!! Initially setup in my bedroom shooting against the wall of my log home and it worked well enough. This is a great solution for an inexpensive home theater set-up, and there are tons of folks online that have "how-to" videos and recipes for making your own projection screen, but I've found a white sheet pulled tight works better than you can imagine! Easy setup without any of the complexities of other more common name brand protectors. Save yourself the headaches with silly filters, heat diffusers, bulb sensitivity, etc etc.... Pick this little guy up for yourself and try it, you'll be very surprised!! Fun and entertaining!! Love it!!
