The BRAND NEW FOR 2024 ProForm Carbon TLX is an outstanding very attractive quality-built treadmill at a great price! After doing a lot of research and comparing treadmills in the $1,000 - $1,500 price range from all the major manufacturers I purchased this one on sale for just $850 and I'm very happy with it. The original manufacturer's retail price in early 2024 was $1,000 but the price on Amazon tends to fluctuate slightly up and down all the time for no apparent reason. Despite this inconsistent pricing the ProForm Carbon TLX is a great purchase and an outstanding value. The ProForm Carbon TLX comes very well-packed and partially assembled in a large heavy-duty reinforced cardboard box that weighs 250+ lbs so I'm glad I paid the extra $20 for room-of-choice delivery. This treadmill has all the major features and functions of the more expensive treadmills without the big pricy high-definition touchscreen or other unnecessary computerized fitness monitoring "gimmicks" which are seldom, if ever, used. The ProForm Carbon TLX is designed and built to support users up to 300 lbs in weight. It has a powerful heavy-duty 3-hp electric motor, fully adjustable speeds from 1-12 mph, up to 12-degrees in adjustable incline, and a full-size 60-inch-long cushioned running deck... something you won't find on most treadmills in this price range. The treadmill also has a nice built-in 3-speed electric fan to keep you cool and two built-in speakers that can be connected to your smartphone or tablet so you can listen to music or watch a movie. All of these features are controlled with "Quick-Access" touch-buttons conveniently located on the nicely designed center console. The console also has a very convenient built-in shelf that holds your smartphone or tablet for easy viewing. The build quality of the ProForm Carbon TLX is excellent and the precision machined parts made the treadmill's assembly very easy to do although you will need two people for the job. My wife supplied the extra pair of hands needed and helped me by holding some of the pieces in place while I bolted everything together. It took us about an hour total and I encountered no problems with poorly fitting or missing parts. There is nothing more frustrating than poorly fitting, or worse yet, missing parts! I should also mention that a very nice set of tools needed for assembly are included so you don't need to supply any of your own tools... an unexpected pleasant surprise! My wife and I have both been using this treadmill to run and walk a combined total of 5 to 7 miles every day for the past 6 months and we absolutely love it! My wife really enjoys using the fan to keep her cool and using the built-in speakers to listen to her music during her workouts. I like how quiet and smooth the motor and belt run for both running and walking and having instant access to all of my exercise information on the full-color display screen. I also like how easily the running deck folds up and out of the way so the treadmill doesn't take up a lot of room when you're not using it. One last thing definitely worth mentioning is that you don't have to have Internet access or register or sign up for the 30-day free trial of the online iFIT exercise program before you can turn on and operate the treadmill as several uninformed people in these reviews claim. My wife and I chose not to use iFIT because we didn't want to pay the monthly subscription fee for it. We use the ProForm Carbon TLX and all of its features in the manufacturer's standard manual mode. All you have to do to use the treadmill this way is simply press and hold down the blue iFIT button on the console for about 10-15 seconds and the iFIT exercise program is bypassed and the treadmill will operate perfectly... no iFIT registration or Internet needed. You only have to do this one time... not every time you turn on the treadmill. In summary, the ProForm Carbon TLX is an outstanding very attractive quality-built treadmill with all the features you need at a very reasonable price. None of the other treadmills in its price range can match the value, performance and quality of the ProForm Carbon TLX. I highly recommend it and would definitely purchase it again! ... show more

I love this treadmill. High quality. This is my 3rd Proform treadmill. My primary use is for walking; I'm 68 years old. Very heavy and relatively easy to assemble, I did it by myself, but a second person would be best. Watching the online video and assembling it one step at a time worked perfectly. It would have been worth the extra expense to have it delivered to the exact room where I planned on using it. I had it delivered to my carport and had to move it inside, piece by piece, which was a real pain, very heavy! I have not used most of the features yet, as I really only wanted it for walking, but great, great, great. I would definitely recommend this product, easier and cheaper than paying for a gym membership for someone like me that only wants to get their steps in, will pay for itself in a few months. ... show more

The Proform brand has been very reliable for us and we had moved at one time and sold our machine. So here we are the owner of a new Proform treadmill. Amazon delivered this by truck and two strong guys placed it safely in our garage. We have a finished area in our garage so we did not have to carry it any further! My husband and I started putting it together and it went really smoothly and only took us few hours. Now understand we are older, retired and not in a big hurry to get stuff done. The directions were easy to follow. I had read it takes two people to assemble and yes it did mainly when holding up the deck up to place the storage latch bars as well as having that second person to hold parts in place while he set the screws. We did not have any problems getting the machine to turn on- just insert the orange safety switch and the power came on. The machine paired easily with our wifi. I scanned the QR code to install IFIT and we are using the free 30 day trial that is offered with a single person membership at $14.99 ~ there is another package that is $39 for 4 profiles but it doesn’t offer a free trial. The package made my husband happy he can walk in New Zealand. The belt runs smoothly, and the buttons are responsive when changing speed/incline. Some mentioned they felt the incline was slow but seriously do we need instant gratification with everything? Seriously the incline responds very well - it’s not “slow” and we aren’t in a hurry to get somewhere afterall we are on a treadmill! The speakers are adequate tho I used our Bose with my phone to get fuller sound. Treadmill folds up easily and we could roll it into place even with the small wheels that it has. The only issue I had was when registering for the warranty there is a space for the version number. I spent way too much time trying to find the version number and gave up. The next day after the Proform chat bot failed me, I spent some more time on Google and tada I found it! On your manual it has the model number then a PERIOD and a number after the PERIOD that is your version number! You can find model number and serial also on the underside treadmill when it is folded. The PERIOD is small and easily missed but I took a screen shot of it and zoomed in and BOOM there it was! Great purchase and now we have a wall calendar and a pack of shiny reward stars. It doesn’t take too much to entertain yourself once you hit age 70. ... show more
