I bought this metal detector to try out a new hobby, and I’m really impressed for the price. It’s easy to assemble, lightweight, and works well in my backyard. It picks up coins, bottle caps, and even some old nails. The beeping tones help tell what type of metal you’re finding. Great value and fun for beginners like me!

I am going to retire in two years and have been thinking what to do after retirement. Metal detecting on the beach seems a perfect hobby - you get the sunshine while have a lot of walking. I looked online and found that the price range from less than a hundred dollars to couple thousand dollars. As a beginner, I started with a low price. This detector was delivered in very nice package and the assemble is so easy (I didn't even read the owner's manual). I tried this detector at Rehoboth Beach today and it worked fine. It took some times to get used to the tones/sounds. This one does not come with headset, but there is a hole on the unit where you can plug in your own head set. Great value and fun for beginners!

I haven't actually tested it out yet because I have to somewhat fix it right from unboxing. One of the lock clips is broken, I can duct tape I guess haha but the bracket and the upper stem, the part supports your arm doesn't quite fit so I can't put the screw through as the holes don't match up. I can make-do, just a little disappointed.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’m beyond impressed with this metal detector! From the moment I turned it on, it was easy to set up and start exploring. The sensitivity and depth detection are excellent. I’ve already found coins, a few relics, and even a small piece of jewelry in my backyard. The screen is clear and easy to read, with helpful indicators that make it simple to distinguish between different types of metal. It’s lightweight and comfortable to use for extended periods, and the adjustable stem is great for both kids and adults.

It wasn’t difficult to put together, but it isn’t a very good quality one. I had a much older one that I’d gotten from my grandpa that worked better than this one. Will be returning it.

Very lightweight and easy to operate with one hand. It has several different modes to choose from. I tested it with my own gold jewelry placed in three different spots, and even with only giving the general location, it was able to detect them accurately. The sensitivity is impressive.
